I currently share my life with a pet of my own, so caring for animals is already part of my daily rhythm — feeding, walks, and playtime happen at consistent times each day, and I know how much animals thrive on routine and attention. My work schedule gives me flexibility during the day and on weekends, which means I can offer reliable, unhurried time to the pets I care for not just squeezing in a quick visit, but actually being present with them. Whether it's a midday walk, an evening check in, or a weekend stay, I treat every pet like they're part of my own routine, not an interruption to it.

Safety, trust & environment

In my own home, I keep a calm, consistent environment — set feeding times, regular potty breaks, and plenty of one-on-one attention so pets feel settled quickly rather than anxious. I keep spaces pet-proofed and give dogs enough exercise throughout the day that they're relaxed, not restless. When I'm in a client's home, I follow their routine exactly as given — same food, same schedule, same walk routes if provided — because consistency matters most to pets when their owner is away. I send photo/video updates so owners can see their pet is comfortable, and I treat the home with the same respect and care I'd want for my own space: doors locked, mail collected if asked, and everything left exactly as I found it. For walks, I stay attentive and present the whole time — no distractions, leash secure, watching for other animals or hazards. For sitting or drop-ins, I make sure water, food, and any medication schedules are followed precisely, and I always leave a note or message summarizing the visit.

Information Prince L. would like to know about your pet

Before a visit or stay, I like to know: feeding schedule and portions (including any food allergies or dietary restrictions), medication needs and timing, temperament around other people/animals/kids, leash/walking habits (pullers, reactive to certain triggers, favorite routes), potty routine, any anxiety triggers (thunderstorms, being left alone, specific noises), commands they respond to, and emergency vet contact info

A typical day

What fun activities will you do with the pets you watch? Depends on the pet's energy and what they're into, but I like to keep things playful and active. For dogs: fetch, tug-of-war, walks with a few sniff-heavy detours (letting them actually explore, not just power-walking), and if they're up for it, a trip to a nearby park or open space to run. For lower-energy pups or cats: puzzle toys, gentle play sessions, brushing/cuddle time, and just being present — some pets want a playmate, others want a calm companion, and I try to read which one they need. I also like mixing in little training moments during play — reinforcing basic commands or good leash manners — so it's fun for them but also builds good habits. And always plenty of praise, treats (if the owner's okay with it), and photo/video updates so the owner gets to see the fun too.

Pet care experience

I treat every pet like they're my own — not a task to check off, but a responsibility I take seriously. A few things I bring to the table: patience and consistency, which matters a lot for anxious pets, senior pets, or ones adjusting to a new routine; genuine attentiveness (I'm not on my phone ignoring the dog on a walk — I'm actually present); and reliability — if I say I'll be there at a certain time, I'm there, and owners get clear updates so they're never left wondering how their pet is doing. I'm also comfortable with senior pets who may need a gentler pace, extra bathroom breaks, or medication reminders, and with younger/more energetic pets who need more structure and exercise to stay out of trouble. I approach every pet as an individual — reading their personality and adjusting rather than using a one-size-fits-all routine.
