I am a proud cat dad of a bonded pair of 5-year old kitties. I have been a cat-sitter for friends and family for the past 20 years. I also have experience volunteering at cat shelters (e.g., Gifford Shelter in Brighton, MA). I love animals and am looking for more cat-sitting opportunities here in the pioneer valley. I recently moved to Northampton and am a professor at Smith College!

I think it’s paramount to follow routine for a cat in their own home, especially if they might have even a little separation anxiety. I am excellent at following instructions and am happy to do what I can to make your cat happy and comfortable!

Preston just took care of my two elderly cats for the first time this past weekend, and he was wonderful all around. I am always a bit nervous about leaving them because of their ages, but I honestly worried less because I knew he would take good care of them. At the meet and greet, he asked good questions, took notes and photos, and clearly showed that he loved cats. While I was away, he sent multiple photos and videos at each visit as well as sending notes. He clearly loves cats and knows how to take care of them. I wouldn't hesitate to book him again.
Preston is the cat sitter everyone dreams of. He treats kitties like royalty. When he arrives he always greets my kitty with love and pets. She knows she gets her massages when he visits! Preston is also very conscientious and focused on all the details needed for your cats. He will wash bowls, refresh food, give treats, clean litter-boxes, and he will gladly help with any unique specific requirements for your kitty. I highly recommend Preston as your next cat sitter. Your cat will not be disappointed.
Preston has taken care of our pets every time we go on vacation for more than 10 years. He is super responsible and carefully follows our instructions. But more importantly, he genuinely loves our cats and spends quality time playing, petting and hanging out with them. Preston is also a great pet daddy to 2 cats and a gecko, so you know he understands that pets are important family members.
I've known Preston for over 20 years and he has taken care of our pets (cats, lizards, fish) numerous times. Preston is the nicest person I know and deeply loves animals. He is honest, smart, and careful, and will follow the most nuanced instructions perfectly to care for your pet family members. Of importance, all pets love him (even the most discriminating cats). There is nobody who will care for your pet better than Preston.
