A holiday for your paw-some friend!
I have had the joy of being around dogs my whole life. I absolutely love taking care of them and pampering them! My experience in tending to these wonderful companions spans a diverse spectrum. I've had the pleasure of looking after dogs of all shapes and sizes, from large breeds to the small. My journey in dog care has exposed me to the vibrant energy of high-spirited, playful pups, where I have looked after them with patient guidance and nurturing. I have also been able to care for senior dogs, where gentleness and understanding take precedence, and every moment becomes an opportunity to provide comfort and companionship. The variety of my experience has allowed me to adapt my approach based on the unique needs and personalities of each dog, whether it's engaging in lively activities with the energetic ones or offering a quiet, comforting presence to the more laid-back companions.

Poppy is an absolutely lovely host. Bode came home happy and settled. He had needed a trip to the vet during his stay & Poppy sorted everything out for him and gave him his medicine. I have every confidence in her and would thoroughly recommend. Thank you.

We booked for Cooper to stay with Poppy for 3 nights while we got married. Her communication was excellent from the moment we booked and she was kind enough to agree to an extra night after the initial booking. When I dropped Cooper off, Poppy and her husband spent time reassuring him and getting him settled. They are a lovely couple and also reassured me that he would be well cared for. Their cottage is situated in a beautiful area in the woods, surrounded by rivers and streams. While he was staying with them, they sent regular pictures and updates to let us know how he was getting on. I would 100% use Poppy to look after Cooper again if we were in the area. Poppy and Rich take such good care of Toast. With plenty of pictures to let us know he’s okay. He’s just got back from his longest time away from us ever! And he’s so settled and happy. We don’t have to worry at all whilst he’s with them. Thank you both so much.

Schedule
I am currently at home full time with my infant daughter so all our four-legged guests are cuddled all day long. They fit into our days as if they were our own dog, Primrose, they not only go on the same walks but they also come along to cafes, town and shops with us.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a rural area on the Forest of Bowland in a quaint cottage. I have an enclosed garden at back of the house which dogs love to sniff about in. My own dog is extremely friendly and has, apart from recently, lived with another dog so would love the company. During the day, there are plenty of nearby areas that I will use to walk the pups, including lots of walks round the Forest of Bowland. If staying overnight they can sleep downtairs or in their own bedroom, wherever they are most comfortable as that is most important to reduce their anxiety and stress.
Pets
A typical day
Dogs love our scenic location and all the smells that the area has to offer - including deer, pheasants and lots of other birds! We give the dogs walks depending on their energy levels - for the more energetic ones we take them up the scenic points. The dogs also have frisbee and ball walks to burn off their energy! We also play lots of tug of war games with the pups which they love. After all the excitement the pups cuddle on the sofa or in front of the log burner.
