Availability

My partner does not work anywhere except with the dogs we take care of. I work remotely for a tech company from home. We are at home almost all the time, and go on hikes and walks with the dogs staying with us several times a day. If your pet stays with us, you can expect 24/7 supervision, love, exercise and activity. We only leave animals alone for up to 2 hours twice a week to run errands. Otherwise, you can expect potty breaks every 2 hours and longer walks, hikes and exercise three times a day or as needed.

Information Polina & Jared M. would like to know about your pet

Please let us know the following before your pet's stay: *Is your dog spayed or neutered? If not, you must let us know ahead of time.* 1. Does you dog have any special needs or medication needs? If so, please explain fully. 2. Provide your veternarians information and have a plan in place for emergencies (including local emergency contacts). 3. What is your pet's personality like? Are they friendly with other dogs and cats and humans? 4. Plan to bring a comfort toy, blanket or bed for your dog. 5. Plan to portion out each meal for your pet in ziplock bags or provide specific instructions for their feeding times and portions. 6. Does your pet exhibit any separation anxiety? 7. Does your pet exhibit any resource guarding? 8. Does your pet exhibit any aggression? If so, in what situations and how do you manage it today? 9. How is your pet with children? We do not have children in the home, but for us to be aware of when out with you pet.

A typical day

We love to tailor experiences to the personalities and dogs we care for. If your dog is higher energy and needs more stimulation, we have some great hikes right on our property. We also love taking the pups for a swim in the warmer months at Porter Lake, which is 2 minutes from our home. In the winter, we also love taking pups on groomed walking trails around Sugarloaf and Farmington. If your dog prefers to just play fetch, we are happy to accommodate! Both of our pups also love new friends and are happy to play with your pup to their hearts content. If alternatively your pet needs space, we can provide separate spaces for them in our home.

Pet care experience

My partner, Jared, and I LOVE animals. We truly believe every animal is special and deserves all the love and affection. We live in a beautiful house on the mountain in New Vineyard, Maine, and are available to pick up you pet within 30 miles of New Vineyard. If you are skiing at Sugarloaf or Saddleback for the day and need someone to watch your pet for the day or for the duration of your trip, we're here to help! We both previously worked professionally as dog trainers, walkers and boarders in Boston, training at the MSPCA and with protégées of Ceser Milan. We combine positive reinforcement training with structure and rigor, while evaluating the individual needs of every animal that stays with us. We would be honored to take care of your animals while you are out of town or need a break. We also offer 1- or 2- week doggy bootcamp for more difficult dogs. At our home, we have two wonderful dogs (Potato and Goober) and two very dog-like cats (Mayhem and Egbert) who would love to be your pet's friend. At our home, we have cozy couches that dogs are welcome to rest on downstairs, and bedrooms upstairs. If your dog needs to be crated, we are happy to accommodate that. Otherwise, they are welcome to free reign of our pet-proofed home. Reach out to us to schedule a meet-and -greet either at your home or ours.

Our dog was very well take care of (and loved). We got lot of pics, which really helped me feel comfortable leaving my baby for the first time. Definitely recommend!

She did great with our little guy......kept in constant contact with us letting us know how he was doing....we never had to guess or worry if there were any issues. It was like he was on vacation like we were! He had fun.

They were so attentive to my pup and took great care of our fur baby while we enjoyed a full day skiing! Will absolutely use them again next time I’m in the area!

Highly recommend! They are kind, patient, and curious to get to know your individual pet’s needs. Lina calmed all of our jitters about trying a boarding service for the first time with our young pup, and is especially good with communication from beginning to end…we became a repeat customer, and I’m pretty sure our dog felt like she was on vacation every time!
