Pippa’s Pet Sitting

Hiya! I’m Pippa and I run my own petsitting business in the Poplar/Bow area. I offer a professional, trustworthy and friendly service with 15 years of dog care experience. _ I offer services particularly for dogs who are on the smaller end of the spectrum. My resident dog Rhubarb is a chihuahua and I am experienced on their particular needs and personality traits. My home has lots of appropriately sized toys, high-quality treats and places for smaller dogs to nap in. _ 😰First time getting a dog sitter? I am a star sitter on Rover and have cared for many dogs as their first dog sitting experience. I invite you to check out my reviews for peace of mind that your dog will be cared for and safe while they are with me. I always invite pet parents to meet and greets where we can talk about any particular concerns you have and I can give you advice about preparing for the stay. I’m very happy to spend time with you and show you around my home. I want both you and your dog to have a good experience when booking with me and am happy to go the extra mile to give you the reassurance needed for you to be comfortable. _ 📸Can you send me photos of my dog? What did they get up to today? As a pet owner myself I really worry about my dog when we aren’t together and know how comforting photos of your dog having a nice time or looking relaxed and cosy are. I always take lots of photos to send to owners and am happy to keep you updated as often as you need to feel comfortable. I send photos with 100% of bookings, the % displayed on my profile sometimes varies as I communicate with some owners via WhatsApp! Every day I send an evening update with photos to let owners know what adventures their dog has been up to and how they are getting along. Walks generally take place around Poplar and Bow where your dog will be able to meet other dogs and experience key situations for socialisation e.g joggers, cyclists, children, prams etc. Our favourite walkies location is Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park which is perfect for dogs who love a good sniff 🐕 in hot weather dogs are safe in my apartment which has a variety of enrichment activities and is air conditioned. For dogs with limited mobility or puppies who need breaks I also have a dog pram which I can take on outings so no one gets left out. _ 🧳What do I need to bring for my dog? Essentials are: 🐾 food +1 extra portion, if 1week+ then +2 extra portions 🐾 harness/collar and lead (non-flexi lead if possible!) 🐾 poo bags 🐾 any medication 🐾 grooming brush (I have a greyhound comb already) If your dog has a particular teddy or blanket they like, bowl they prefer etc then feel free to bring along! _ 😬 My dog is reactive/very nervous, is that okay? I have experience with working with reactive dogs and dogs with behavioural difficulties. If your dog does have any of these issues then please do disclose to me in advance so I can be aware of any potential triggers. I can cater to dogs who aren’t able to be left alone as I am with the dogs all day. If your dog is particularly anxious about being separated from you then I do recommend doing a daycare session to get them used to spending time in a different home and build up a relationship with me. If your dog needs to be the only dog in the home then I am able to arrange this with sufficient notice. I let every dog spend the first night without my resident dog being there to give them a low pressure introduction to the environment. _ 🐕Positive only🐕 I am a positive dog trainer and do not use any adversives when caring for my dog or yours. Behaviours are reinforced using positive rewards only, including treats, a favourite toy or playing etc. Use of adversive tools eg prong collars or ecollars means I am not a compatible sitter for you. _ 🧘🏻‍♀️Drama and stress free service I want you to be able to enjoy your holiday in peace and without worry. I have a 0% cancellation rate since I joined the platform in 2022. Pet care is my full time business and I’m offering a professional service which is there to solve any issues that crop up during your booking. In the rare event that there is a problem, I will inform you immediately and keep you updated while I take your dog to the vet/resolve any issues. In addition to the Rover/Cat in a Flat Guarantee I also have an extra insurance policy which covers public liability, loss of keys, injury and pet owner emergency travel costs etc. Please let me know if you would like to see details of my policy. _ 🐾Drop ins🐾 I offer drop in visits to dogs of all sizes so if you have a bigger dog but think we might be a good fit then please do get in touch. . When you request a booking with me I will arrange a date to pick up keys and have a meet and greet. During this visit I will ask to meet your dog/s, see their food and walking equipment. I will also show you the care cards I produce on each visit so you can see what to expect on my visits. _ 🏡Nervous about having someone in your home? I’m a home owner myself and treat your home with complete respect. I have star sitter status on Rover and invite you to check out my reviews for peace of mind that I will be caring for your home as if it were my own. I have no problem sitting in homes with cameras and happy to comply with any security requirements. If you would like to see details of my clean enhanced DBS then please let me know as I am more than happy to provide a copy. . Onyx was spoilt and loved Pippa so much than he even let her go as far as letting her brush his belly during grooming, which even *I* can't do. Will definitely rebook with her for my next holidays ❤️

Pippa is a wonderful cat sitter, really made us feel calm about everything and we could tell our cat Ru loved her too. She spent proper time with him and sent such detailed updates. Can’t say enough good things and we would definitely book her for future cat sitting. Thank you again Pippa :)

We couldn’t be happier with the care our Lulu received! 🐾❤️ From the moment we left her, we felt completely reassured that she was in safe and loving hands. We received regular photos and updates, which was so lovely and gave us peace of mind knowing exactly how Lulu was doing and what she had been up to. It was clear that she was genuinely cared for, not just looked after. Most importantly, Lulu was so happy and relaxed during her stay. She came home looking content and well cared for, which means everything to us. We are incredibly grateful for the love, attention and care given to our little Lulu. We would highly recommend this dog sitter to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring and reliable. We will definitely be booking again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pippa was very personable and attentive to Khaleesi's needs, she wrote detailed updates on behaviour and eating habits whilst visiting, along with photos. She also took careful care of the flat, reasurring on security checks, keeping spaces clean of food & pellets, and ensuring our pet had some social interracitons during her visit also. Would strongly recommend, plan to use again in the future

A typical day

I have lots of toys which are suitable for smaller dogs & puppies. These include soft toys, balls, chew toys and puzzle toys. There is also space for quiet time and rest, with locations in the house perfect to snuggle up in for a nap. I typically take the dogs to locations where there are lots of sniffy spots and interesting things for them to see. Dogs are not allowed off lead on walks for their safety. I can also work on exposure for puppies and reactive dogs e.g bus travel, walks along busy roads as requested.
