Availability

I’m currently undertaking a remote 9-5 research placement. There are few meetings in this placement meaning I am available to provide services in the day - particularly around lunchtimes! I am also still available to house sit during the work day due to the remote nature of my placement. I can also provide evening services without constraints (unless stated in my availability!)

Safety, trust & environment

I understand letting someone look after your dog and/or into your home can be daunting. I will make sure to give the dog my upmost care and protect and preserve your home environment, ensuring I leave it in the condition you leave it.

Information Pippa H. would like to know about your pet

It would help me a lot if you could tell me about your dog, their breed, their interests, what levels of attention they need etc. but also any specific rules about behaviour or commands you have so I can uphold the expectations you have spent so long teaching them!

A typical day

Looking after my parents’ puppy I have become an expert at tiring out a dog using a game of chase - my parents even request I play it whenever I come home to visit! I’d love to take your dog on a walk in the surrounding area or even a little further out such a nearby forest on non-work days if you are comfortable with me doing so. In the house I have become adept at entertaining dog with a toy or chew through few moments so not to become too tired at the end of the day or for when they simply need a bit of brain stimulation without getting too hyper!

Pet care experience

My family has owned a dog since I was 6 years old (currently 23). I have been left to look after our dog by myself for up to a fortnight on countless occasions, providing basic (but important) needs such as food provision for a Labrador, walking of varying length depending on my dog’s walking ability, and even cleaning up the occasional accident! I have experience looking after a puppy with endless amounts of energy and a senior dog with mobility issues. But most importantly I adore dogs! From providing longs walks, standing around while they sniff the latest incredible smell, to simply keeping them company while they nap I enjoy every second of it!

Couldn’t have left Rufus in better hands. He was so well looked after, I think he hardly noticed I was away.

Pippa took really great care of our nervous spaniel Belle. She thoroughly followed all of our instructions to make sure Belle felt happy and safe. Very much recommend!

My friend recommended Rover and that’s how we found Pippa. We met Pippa on a meet and greet a few weeks ago. She was very welcoming and met Bear our miniature dachshund. We all really liked her. She helped us out earlier this week because I was due in the office and my partner was working. I was running a bit late and she helped us feed Bear for us. Thank you so much for Thursday! You were a life savour! We will be booking Pippa a few extra days over the next few weeks to help us out again. Thanks again Pippa!!
