Your dog's home away from home

Hi! I'm Pilar, and welcome to my home - where your dog will be treated like family, not a guest. I've been a proud Rhodesian Ridgeback mom for years, which means I understand big dogs, strong personalities, and what it takes to care for a breed with real energy and intelligence. My girl Luna is the heart of my household - calm, loving, and an absolute joy. She's also the reason your dog will never feel lonely here. Honestly, she's been waiting for friends to hang out with all day! My home has a fully fenced yard where dogs can run, explore, and burn off all that energy - or just stretch out in the sun (Luna's personal favorite). Inside, it's spacious with plenty of cozy spots to claim. Your pup gets real couch time, real attention, and a real companion - not a crate in a back room. I work from home, so your dog is never left alone. You'll get photos and updates throughout the day - I want you to feel completely at ease while you're apart. I love to travel and know firsthand what it feels like to leave your baby behind. I've always searched for the most loving, trustworthy families for Luna, and now it's my turn to pay that forward. My home is also full of love - my teenage son adores dogs, and Luna has always thrived surrounded by that energy. Your pup will feel it the moment they walk in the door. Luna is a gentle giant at heart. She has matured into a wonderfully mellow girl who naturally adapts her play style to whoever she's with. With little ones she is calm and respectful, and if a new friend needs some space to warm up, she absolutely gets it - she can be a bit shy herself! I welcome dogs of all sizes who love other dogs. A quick meet-and-greet with Luna before your first booking is always a great idea - the best way to make sure everyone starts off on the right paw! 🐾

Pilar was absolutely amazing! We found her 2 days before our trip and she was very accommodating. Kept us up to date with pictures and videos every day! Would definitely use her again!

This is the second time that Zeus has stayed with Pilar. When we arrived, Zeus went straight to Luna and they did their little doggie greeting dance. I have no qualms now about leaving my little boy. He is so happy there. I am so happy that we discovered Pilar!

Pilar is such a dog person! Big and tiny. Gregarious and timid. She loves and cares for them all. She treats my 2 dogs as if they were her own. Lots of love and probably too many treats. 🤣🐶. She asked all the right questions from me to make sure they would be happy and comfortable in her cozy home. It was obvious that my dogs loved her and her small family. I can’t recommend her enough. My dogs are my children and I confidently entrust Pilar with their care. It’s so great to meet a fellow dog person!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Pilar. She took exceptional care of my two senior dogs while I was away, and I honestly couldn’t have felt more at ease leaving them with her. One of my dogs has arthritis and requires daily medication and a bit of extra attention, and I felt completely confident that she was in the best possible hands. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly went above and beyond in caring for them. She followed all instructions carefully, kept me updated, and truly gave me peace of mind while I was traveling. When I returned home, both dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. I would absolutely not hesitate to use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible, kind, and truly caring pet sitter.

I was very happy with the service I got from Pilar. She was absolutely wonderful with Bruno. From the moment I dropped him off , it was clear he was in the best hands. She kept me updated with photos and messages throughout my entire trip which made traveling so much easier and so much more enjoyable knowing he was happy and loved. Bruno came home relaxed and content, that says it all. We will definitely be booking again.

You just know when someone is a 'dog person'. (Your dogs know it too.) And Pilar is definitely a dog person. One conversation with her, one glimpse at the relationship with her own dog, and it's clear: you could not pick a better 'home away from home' for your pup(s). Besides that, her attention to detail, thoughtfulness and proactive method of care & communication are very reassuring. I'm so grateful to have found a reliable person to care for my dogs when I'm not able to be home with them!

A typical day

Every day starts with backyard time in my fully fenced yard, a safe space for dogs to run, sniff, and just be dogs. I love keeping my guests stimulated both physically and mentally, so we go on walks through the neighborhood and regularly visit the Dunwoody Nature Center, one of Luna's favorite spots. We also play games throughout the day to keep minds sharp and tails wagging. Your dog will come home happy and tired!

The more I know about your dog ahead of time, the better! Please share their daily routine: meal times, potty schedule, nap habits, anything that helps me keep their day feeling normal and comfortable. Let me know about any behaviors to be aware of, whether they take medications or supplements, and if they have any special needs. A few things that make the stay smoother for everyone: meals pre-portioned and labeled by feeding time are a huge help, and if your dog has a favorite bed, blanket, or toy, please bring it along!
