Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in yard and have large rooms which a dog could stay in if needed to be separated and would have no problem crating if necessary. My dog is extremely social and loves other dogs but I would separate when not home just to be cautious
Home
Information Phyllis S. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if your pup has any special needs or behaviors that I should know about so that I can thoroughly improve the sitting experience. I would prefer to walk dogs that do not pull to an extreme on a leash or extremely dog reactive
A typical day
I will make sure that they are stimulated and are able to smell everything in the neighborhood. Take their time on a walk or walk briskly whatever they feel like doing and throw balls or toys whatever they will enjoy and give them lots of love and pets and butt runs!

Hello Rover! I have worked with Phylis at Cozy Inn Pet Resort for 3 years. I love Phylis! She is the person who trained me and I am grateful for that because I learned (and continue to learn) so much from her. She knows and loves dogs and it is a privilege to any dog parent to have their pet in her care. At work we call her “The Energizer Bunny” because she is in such amazing shape and so full of energy that she can outdo all of us- even the teenagers. She is also just a wonderful human being aside from work. An asset to anyone who employees her and a blessing to anyone lucky enough to call her a friend.
Phyllis is an amazing and caring person not just with animals but with people also. I have know Phyllis for a while. I met her while I was working at a dog daycare/boarding place. She was one of the main people who trained me and I learned so much from her. Phyllis is great with dogs of all temperaments. Dogs always respond well to her. I have seen her work with dogs who take a while to warm up to people warm up to her. She treats all pets as if they are her own. If I needed somebody to watch our pets I wouldn't hesitate to ask her, and I am very particular of who comes around our pets. She has a dog of her own that she cares for and tends to his health needs and goes above and beyond to make sure he stays healthy.
I volunteered with Phyllis at the Humane Animal Rescue League of Pittsburgh. Through her years of experience with walking dogs she was trusted to work with dogs that were timid, shy and anxious, as well as dogs that had dog reactivity, strong dogs that still needed training to walk comfortably on a leash, and dogs that would become overstimulated on walks. I also trust Phyllis to watch and walk my own dogs, one who experiences dog reactivity on walks and can be challenging to walk due to her triggers. She is also a resource guarder and needs special attention during feeding times and whenever providing treats. Phyllis utilizes positive reinforcement to encourage preferred behavior and respects and loves dogs. She also checks in on our cats when we are out of town and has experience administering oral medication to one of my cats. I would recommend Phyllis to care for your animal family members. Their experience with her will be loving, positive, safe, and enriching.
