Waking up at 7am I do toilet breaks before their morning walk in the local woods followed by breakfast. I'll play with them in the garden and keep the door open so they can come and go from the kitchen to the garden as they like. Then for lunch we will do a larger walk in the local area before dinner and snuggles in the evening.

The garden is fenced and gated, with a large open space to throw balls and for them to run around. We are two minutes walk from the woodland. I also regularly drive to new areas in the Surrey hills to try new hiking routes with woods, rivers and fields for them to explore. Our home includes myself and my parents, both of whom grew up with dogs and love them as much as I do.

Information Phoebe L. would like to know about your pet

What I'd need from you: 1) I would encourage a meet and greet so you can see the house if boarding and meet me to make sure you're comfortable. If you are in a busy period and prefer to meet me just before their first walk then I recommend for any nervous pups that you hang out for a few minutes just so they can acclimatise and get comfy with their new environment. 2) Each dogs' personality is completely unique, our dog was nervous of men with beards so any weird and wonderful information on what they like or don't like to help me manage any behaviours would be great to know in advance. 3) Any dogs who aren't recall trained would need to be walked at all times on a long lead, please make sure you bring all bedding, food, favourite toys and walking tools beforehand. 4) Clear and verified pick up and drop off times, any changes are not a problem if an unexpected issue arises - just call or text. 5) Update me on their ideal routine with feeding, walks and playtime so I can adapt as required. 6) Provide emergency contact information and vet information just in case.

A typical day

As described above for the schedule. x2 walks a day, regular playtime and full garden access to run around whilst I work in the kitchen.

Pet care experience

I’ve helped train and raise my family lab for 14 years, so I know how important it is for you to find a trusted walker/sitter to keep them healthy and happy while you're away. I’ve also helped care for clients/friends' dogs - feeding, medicating and poop scooping as required between constant ball throwing and cuddles. I really miss my own dog and I would love to have that joy back in my life. I have a flexible schedule as I'm currently in between jobs and so I'll be able to fit around you and give them plenty of love. My home includes a large garden and I live right next to woodland so they’ll have plenty of space to explore.

Lovely experience from start to finish - Phoebe looked after my 2 cockapoos overnight. Phoebe was friendly and obviously loves dogs - I had no concerns at all leaving them with her and her lovely family.

Maisie had such a great time and if I may speak for my treasured companion WE feel very lucky to have found Phoebe. Phoebe has a great set up, lovely garden to play in and home to boot. Maisie was so grateful to get cuddles, play from all the family and she was made to feel like it was home from home. Surely what every dog ‘owner’ wishes for. I got updates through the day to know how much of a lovely time Maisie was having too. Thank you SO MUCH Phoebe and family. I will definitely be booking again should we both need you. Lorraine :)

Enzo was really well cared for by Phoebe and her family . He has been sulking since he came home missing his walks in the woods! Many thanks .

I would highly recommend Phoebe and felt completely happy leaving my dog in her care. I have an anxious dog who has never been left with anyone other than family before and Phoebe was extremely kind, patient and sensitive to his needs, wanting to find out as much as possible about my dog to ensure she provided him with the best care. My dog instantly warmed to Phoebe, she has a very natural way with dogs and I could tell straight away that he was in safe hands. Phoebe kept in touch throughout my dogs stay sending updates and photos which was very reassuring. I would not hesitate to recommend Phoebe and will definitely be booking further dates for my dog.
