Pet care fits really naturally into my day as I work part-time from home, so I have a lot of flexibility. I tend to start my mornings early, which works perfectly for dogs who need a good walk or some attention before the day gets busy. Because I’m home-based, I can plan my day around the dogs I’m looking after, whether that’s longer walks, more active playtime, or just keeping them company so they’re not left on their own for too long. I’m able to be present and not rushed, which I think makes a big difference. It’s something I genuinely enjoy building into my routine, not squeezing in, so each dog gets the time, care, and attention they need to feel happy and settled.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I’m based in a quiet, rural area with access to safe walking routes and open spaces, ideal for calm, enjoyable walks and enrichment. My approach is always centred around creating a positive, secure, and stress-free experience for every dog in my care. My two friendly, well-socialised dogs, Milo (“Spuds”) and Goose, can also be involved in walks where appropriate, giving your dog the opportunity to enjoy positive pack walks, socialisation, and confidence-building in a safe and controlled environment. Whether I’m caring for your dog during walks, drop-in visits, or pet sitting in your own home, I take a thoughtful and attentive approach, ensuring the environment is safe, familiar, and suited to their needs. I stick closely to your dog’s usual routine, including feeding, exercise, and any specific instructions, so they feel settled and comfortable. I never leave dogs unsupervised and am confident handling different personalities, from energetic and playful to more sensitive, nervous or relaxed dogs, always prioritising calm, positive interactions. You can trust that your dog will be cared for as if they were my own; safe, well looked after, and given plenty of attention, affection, and reassurance while placed in my care.

Any special needs, particular quirks or preferences do let me know. The more information the better, as I can tailor care to really suit your dog(s)! Nothing is too obscure!

A typical day

Calling all energetic and social pups! Whether your dog enjoys long hikes, park runs, or splashing along the river, I’m always happy to tailor the day to suit their needs. There’s always time for a good game of fetch too! If you’re looking for a safe, controlled environment where your dog can socialise and build confidence with others, I’d love to help. Your dog will also have the chance to make some new furry friends. Goose and Milo Spuds absolutely love meeting new pals! After a fun filled day, often we’ll wind down with a treat or a cuddle before heading home happy and relaxed and ready for a nap.

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Phoebe, an experienced and reliable dog walker who genuinely loves spending time with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I’ve had hands-on experience with a range of dogs, from gentle, easygoing companions like my own Lab/collie Milo (“Spuds”) to energetic, intelligent pups like my new addition golden retriever Goose. I understand that every dog is different, and I always adapt my approach to suit their individual needs; whether that’s a calm, steady walk, a fun and engaging play session, or simply providing company and reassurance. My two friendly, well-socialised dogs will join your pooch (unless you specified otherwise), on a pack walk, drop-in session or day-care adventure. This is a particularly great socialisation opportunity for dogs who enjoy canine company, come from a single-pup household or would benefit from some confidence building with other dogs in a safe and controlled environment. I’m confident with reinforcing good behaviour both inside the home and whilst out and about. Safety, trust, and making sure your dog feels happy and comfortable are always my top priorities.

Highly recommend Phoebe. This was my first time leaving Toby in somebody else's hands so I was abit nervous at first, but she updated me along the way as he spent the full day with her and her 2 pooches. Really lovely and down to earth aswell, will definitely be booking again in the future, no complaints whatsoever - thank you so much!

This was our first time using a dog walker and Phoebe made it such an easy and pleasurable experience for both us and Hector . We saw on his report card that Hector had enjoyed two exciting walks !

Phoebe was born a dog lover, but it took her 12 years to persuade her reluctant parents that life without a dog was intolerable for her! Since then she has been a devoted carer for Miilo, her lab-collie cross. He now lives with her and her one year-old labrador retriever puppy, and is still very sprightly at the age of 13, no doubt due to the care which she lavishes on him. Phoebe has a natural affinity for and understanding of dogs, but she has always been keen to learn more about their traiinng and care, particularly since she has had to care for and train a puppy. I would recommend her unhesitatingly as a dog sitter or walker.
