My wife, Becca, and I moved to Colorado 23 years ago from Nebraska. Becca grew up having a lot of dogs. I grew up around large animals on family farms and my grandpa was a large animal vet. When we moved to the Springs, we moved with a chocolate lab who we loved and adored. We don't have kids so she was really like our child. As she grew older and was eventually diagnosed with cancer, we gained a lot of knowledge and experience in caring for a senior dog, giving medications, etc. Since losing her, we've adopted 3 other dogs ranging in age from puppy to adult dog. The daily routine in our family consists of either Becca or I (or both of us!) taking our 2 dogs on a walk in the morning for minimum of 1 hour. I then take them for additional walks throughout the day, the length of time depending on the weather. We like to go to the park down the street and also like to explore the trails at Ute Valley Park. We don't have a fenced yard but we do have a park just down the street and we love taking the dogs for walks through Ute Valley Park. We are happy to have dogs join us on the couch and have plenty of dog beds too.
