Full disclosure we live in a flat but is as pet friendly as flats can be. We literally live opposite Stowe Pool playing fields and like I say to my 9-year-old, we have one of the biggest gardens in Lichfield. We would love a dog to walk, to stay with us and maybe even play cricket with us!

I’ve loved dogs since I was a child myself and had a dog as a kid. Since then my own parents have had other dogs which I’ve obviously loved and cared for as and when, whilst unable to have a dog of my own. Circumstances - ie work - mean I can’t commit to having my own dog full time, to my son’s dismay, but we have so much love and affection for dogs that Rover is a perfect fit for us.

Phil and Archie took great care of my dachshund dash whilst I was away for the weekend . Speedy responses when communicating and always keeping me updated on how dash was doing during his stay. Do not hesitate when thinking of booking Phil and Archie as these two kept dash busy all weekend showing him love and care throughout his stay and taking him out on long walks and keeping him stimulated. I can’t thank them both enough for the love and care they gave dash and looking after him like he’s there own.
I can’t recommend Phil B highly enough! He’s incredibly kind, reliable, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. Any pet in his care would be safe, happy, and well looked after. Phil is the type of person who goes above and beyond — attentive, trustworthy, communicative, and thoughtful in everything he does. He has a calm, caring nature that pets naturally respond to, and pet parents will instantly feel at ease knowing their furry family members are with him. Anyone looking for a dependable and compassionate sitter or dog walker on Rover would be lucky to have Phil caring for their pets!
After retiring in 2013 my wife and I went abroad regularly on holidays and Phil used to look after our dog (Laylah) , a Labrador/Staffie cross, until she passed away in 2022. Sometimes Phil would ‘house sit’ in our home whilst we were away, and other times he would look after Laylah at his place. It was reassuring to know that our beloved dog was being so well looked after.
Phil and Archie are the loveliest dad and lad combo. For 3 years they have been visiting the nursing home helping to care for residents’ pets, for the love of it. The joy and care they bring brightens our day and makes keeping our pets so much more possible
