To Whom it May Concern: Pete Volk is an animal lover and someone who is patient and caring of animals in his care. He was the owner of a rescued pit-bull. He would often sit for his parent’s dog, a mixed breed. We’ve often observed how kind and caring he was toward animals. Just an incident to illustrate. He was visiting in our home for a couple of days when a neighbor showed up at our door with a kitten. She was desperate. The kitten was feral and her cat was trying to kill it. She begged us to take it until she could contact a shelter. Immediately Pete took an interest. Within a day the kitten was sleeping on his chest nestled in his beard! That cat has been our pet now for seven years and seems to know no stranger. I credit his initial contact with Pete for making him as tame as he is now. We highly recommend Pete for any position that includes private caregiving for any animal. He truly has a heart and passion and love for animals. In addition, Pete is conscientious and trustworthy.
