Often when house and pet sitting for a long while, I'll make a spreadsheet with the pets routine on it to make sure we stay on track. I know that trusting others to check in on or stay with pets can be stressful experience, so I like to make sure I have as much detail from the pet parent as I can so they can feel comfortable knowing all needs are being met.

The most animals I've cared for at once totaled to 43 pets, spending two weeks with indoor and barn cats, peacocks and hens, chickens and guinea fowl. I grew up with Bernese Mountain Dogs, a tabby and a calico cat, and currently have a tuxedo cat with dwarfism, and spend time with family dogs such as a Boston terrier and a beagle black lab mix. I've done a fair amount of house sitting with older dogs. I used to work as a high school substitute teacher, and though pets are not the same as teenagers, I do my best to follow the habits of pet parents just like following a teacher's schedule, to give the pets (or students) the smoothest day possible.

We trust Peter implicitly with our 11 year old black lab, as well as house sitting for us in our absence. Peter is so conscientious about the daily routines for our dog, spending lots of time cuddling and playing with him. We really appreciated daily updates and pictures while we were away. Our neighbors even commented how polite and kind he was when they ran into him while walking the dog. I would never hesitate to have Peter take care of our beloved dog and home while we are gone. He's phenomenal!

We had Peter over for two weeks over the Christmas holidays. Our cats were so well taken care of with him! They tend to be a little skittish after we've been away a while but they were so relaxed when we returned after Peter cared for them, it was clear they weren't stressed at all. Highly recommend Peter as an attentive and loving petsitter!
Peter is great with animals! He is also honest, dependable and caring. He spent 13 days pet sitting at our house. He arrived early so he could meet all the animals, learn the ins and outs of their car and ask questions. Our home has 10 cats and almost 40 fowl (chickens, pea fowl and guinea fowl). Peter was conscientious about following all the “steps”: all the cats were fed, water was cleaned and replenished, and all litter boxes were cleaned daily. We have 8 cats in the house and 2 cats in the garage. He knew everyone’s name and spent time playing and cuddling with them. They were all comfortable around him. Peter did a good job learning about the fowl and the coops. He cleaned them daily, replace water and provided food. He was careful about letting them out, closing them up at night and managing them. Peter kept our home clean, was respectful of our things and made us feel exceptionally comfortable that our home and our pets were safe and well cared for. We would HIGHLY recommend Peter as a conscientious and excellent pet sitter.
