Hiya, I'm Peter! I've cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, and have since provided countless hours of pet-care of friends, family, friends of the family, and families of friends! I have years of experience doing walks, play, feeding, bathing, clean-up and more. I have experience with excitable breeds like a neighbor's golden doodle to my family's mellowed-out portugese water doggies, along with senior care. I see animal care as a privilege. Our pets are no less than little bundles of feelings and life that we are given the opportunity to cherish. I have been told on multiple occasions that I am able to calm animals unusually quickly, and I feel that I am attuned to the emotions of animals I care for. I would love to opportunity to provide care to your pet!

Peter is a great pet caregiver, and I'd highly recommend them. They’ve watched my dog multiple times and they are so loving with her. They’re reliable, communicative, and it's clear they just genuinely love, love, love dogs. They don’t just watch my girl, they really spend time with her. Playing, cuddling, and giving her all the attention she wants. My girl is a bit shy and skittish around tall people, and we've discovered that she loosens immediately when Peter gets on the floor and rolls on their back, hah! Now they does it every time they see her. It's the best. I'd highly recommend Peter to any pet parent.
I know very few people who love dogs as much as Peter. I have seen Peter with many different dog breeds and in many different situations. I can say with confidence that Peter has that special ability to connect with dogs. Our dog adored Peter and would get so excited when he saw Peter walking towards our house. Peter is strong and can handle large dogs. And very importantly, Peter is a warm and kind person and I trust him completely.
Btw we both have cats named Faye!! But they have been wonderful with her and I can't ask for a more loving petsitter. Peter's great!
Peter has always been helpful, kind and communicative when watching my cat, Faye. They show her so much love and affection, and my cat has come to love them! She even enjoys being held by Peter (not a feat many can claim).

Schedule
I work from home in a low-speed position, so I have a flexible schedule for your pets' needs. Normally, I would do a morning and afternoon walk, with potty breaks peppered whenever they need. I can also step away from my work at a moment's notice if anything arises, from entertaining a bored doggie to foiling attempted counter surfing!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a paved yard for sunbathing and potty breaks, the door to which I work right next to. I live near Lake Merritt, the Morcom Rose Garden, and a dog park, so I can provide walks of all lengths. My home is very cozy and has multiple spaces where an animal can detox from any overstimulation. I can provide a dog crate, scheduled meals, supervision, and play.
