Safety, trust & environment

I live in a very quiet neighborhood with few cars. There aren't very many other residence but the neighbors are obsessed with animals. There is a park next door. I do have a partially fenced back yard where a zip line can be utilized. I have an area in my finished garage that's heated for animal activities and my home area upstairs for rest so plenty of room to space out animals to make them more comfortable if some are not as social.

Information Peter C. would like to know about your pet

I have taken care of many dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, and ferrets. accommodations are set up mostly for dogs and cats but most domestic animals can be accommodated.

A typical day

My passions are biking and gardening. I live next to a prominent park in a community where dogs are beloved. We can play frisbee. tug o war and any number of games for pooches and felines also have a wide spectrum of little games. I love to walk(stroll or carry) them every couple hours so they can potty but if they are resting will learn what suits each animal. Some animals prefer to remain in their crates such as bunnies and birds so I will interact with each animal as they will comfortably allow making sure they are well fed and clean

Pet care experience

My family has always cared for many animals at the same time including Schnauzer, many Shi tzu, a Husky, parakeets, and even 5 beloved ferrets. I am versatile and good at recognizing potential dangers for animals. The neighbors have been trusting me to visit the cats periodically for years to feed and brush and change the litter when they are away. I am able to carry out basic tasks like early potty training for puppy and brushing the animals.

I recently used Peter to watch my dog Jac for a week, and like most people, I was a bit apprehensive about leaving my dog with someone new for that long. Peter made the process easy from the start. We met briefly at the park near his house, and he was timely, flexible, and clearly very comfortable with dogs. My dog had a great time. I received plenty of photos throughout the week, and it was obvious he was happy and well cared for. Truthfully, it was a little tough to get him to leave. :-) I highly recommend Peter and will happily use him again.

Peter was an amazing sitter for our little dog. He was friendly, communicative, and I felt very comfortable with our dog in his care. We hope to work with him again in the future!

Our pup is almost one year old. We have not been able to go anywhere together because we had nobody to care for Wolfie. That was before we decided to go to Rover and request Peter to care for our dog, as we needed to go on vacation for ten days. Peter was so kind and he even came to our home to meet Wolfie and see if he would be a good fit. The minute Wolfie met Peter, WE BECAME CHOPPED LIVER! LOL Peter got down on the ground and played with Wolfie and immediately we knew he was the one we wanted to care for our boy! Wolfie couldn't stop wagging his tale and licking Peter. When we left, Peter would give us updates and pictures on a daily basis. Wolfie was living his best life while in Peter's care. Peter took him to the park every day for walks. He lives in a perfect location to do just that. He cared for Wolfie exactly as we would have. He even hand fed him a few times LOL. He gave him medicine whenever he needed it and even gave us some great tips to try and get Wolfie fully potty trained (which has been a challenge). He was just amazing and we have such admiration for the love he shows animals. His wife is a gem too. SO great to know that now we have a caregiver for our doggy whenever we have to go out of town. I HIGHLY recommend Peter and will continue to use him, if needed. God bless you Peter for your warmth, friendliness and calm demeanor caring for our little guy:-)
