I work from home and it’s quite flexible so can work on my laptop from a house or pop and visit a pet almost whenever it’s needed.

How pets are cared for in their home depends on the pet. Some really need their space while others love attention straight away! Making sure the pet has plenty of clean water, fresh food and all their toys and comfy places available is the main priority as pets can sometimes rearrange their furniture when left alone. I like to be guided by what the pet wants to do (within reason of course) whether that’s playing with them or just giving cuddles or even just sitting with them if they need time warming up to me.

I would need to know the animal’s general temperament so I know how to approach them and if they’re particular high energy or not so I can adjust activities/walks as needed.

Play with them, use their favourite toys, make them feel comfortable around me by respecting their space and gently encouraging them to interact with me.
