Pet care experience
I'm excited to meet your critters!
I've grown up in a household that always had more than 5 pets at a time. Be it dogs or cats I've been around the bend and am well-trained with each one I meet. I'm a fast-learner and love caring for pets with unique personalities. I can also handle high-stress pets. One more thing I should add is that I currently work 8 hour night shifts in Iowa City, because of this I am not always available for single or double nights. Week-long sits are most convinient for me.

Safety, trust & environment
I'm familiar with many practices relating to a pet's safety and trust. I like to ensure that the animal is comfortable and understood. I use patience when caring for high-stress animals and I know when to be extra gentle. I'm a fast-learner and adapt easily to various pets' feeding and exercise requirements. I like to keep my environment open and clean for the animal to enjoy to the fullest.

Penny dig a great job taking care of our Chihuahua.

Penelope was very friendly & communicative! Based on the helpful & fun pics that were sent to me, it looked like my dogs and cats had a fantastic experience with Penelope! My house was also as good as I left it & that is a big bonus to me. Thanks, Penelope!

Penny did a great job pet/house sitting. Our pup was healthy and happy throughout our time away and Penny was good about communicating and sending pics via text.

Penny was very friendly and took great care of our 2 small dogs and 1 cat (and the house!) for the weekend. She sent photos to keep us connected and did not hesitate to ask questions as things came up.

Schedule
I currently live with two cats and one guniea pig. Our youngest cat is high-stress and requires a lot of tending to when it comes to visitors. The other cat is very shy. With each of these cats I have a lot of patience. Throughout the day and beginning of my nights I'm familiar with giving the animals in my house lots of affection. I have also lived with and cared for dogs for over a decade. Plus, I am no stranger to giving pets medicine or additional care. I've lived with cats and dogs, young and old, along with a couple reptiles and many guniea pigs.
