Pei took good care of Nala while we were away in the city. Nala had fun with Oscar and Pei, running around in their beautiful backyard. She took Nala out for a hike, and she was a tired pup coming home! Thank you, Pei. :)

Maggie Mae had another fantastic time with Pei! Pei insures that Maggie gets a lot of exercise and enrichment and is great about sending photos and videos of what Maggie Mae is up to. Pei's house is definitely becoming one of her favourite places.

Pei was excellent with Maggie Mae! She asked a lot of questions about her commands and habits, reinforced her training, introduced her to some new things (roosters!), and ensured that she got both lots of exercise and lots of snuggles. Maggie Mae loved playing with her Burmese Mountain Dog Oscar. Pei provided regular detailed updates and was fast on communication. Pei's house is definitely one of Maggie Mae's new favourite places and we will certainly rebook with Pei.

This was our third time leaving Louisa with Pei for overnight care, and I honestly think the best measure of a wonderful dog sitter is how your dog reacts when they return. As soon as we turned into the driveway, Louisa started crying with excitement and practically launched herself out of the car to get back to exploring the property. Pei is always so warm, communicative, and thoughtful. She kept me updated throughout Louisa’s stay and sent the sweetest video of Louisa getting the zoomies and playing with her pup, Oscar, which absolutely made my day. It’s so reassuring to leave your dog somewhere they are not only cared for, but genuinely happy. When Louisa came home, she was calm, content, and slept for the rest of the day with what looked like a smile on her face. We’re so grateful to have found Pei, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for loving, reliable overnight care.

Schedule

Our day starts early with a peaceful routine. After I’ve tended to my cats and the chicken coop, the dogs head out into our two-acre yard. For guest dogs, outdoor time is always supervised and on-leash (or a long-line) to ensure they stay safe near our forest boundary.

Safety, trust & environment

Adventure & Exercise: We are an active household! I love exploring trails like Crane or Hanlon. While my Bernese Mountain Dog enjoys off-leash time, I only take guest dogs to off-leash parks or on hikes if I have the owner's explicit permission and I am confident in the dog's recall. Otherwise, we enjoy wonderful, long 'sniffaris' on-leash through the forest trails right behind my house.

Pets

A typical day

Since I work from home, I have full control over my schedule, which means your pet becomes a true 'coworker' and pack member! My workday is punctuated by frequent outdoor breaks and plenty of companionship. The Daily Flow: Morning: We start with a calm outdoor session in the yard (supervised on-leash) followed by breakfast. While I’m at my desk, guest dogs usually nap at my feet or in our spacious living room. Mid-Day Adventure: This is the highlight of the day! I take a break from my screen to head out for a 4–5 km hike. Whether we are exploring the forest behind our property or visiting local trails like Crane or Hanlon, your dog will get plenty of fresh air and mental stimulation. Afternoon: More backyard 'sniffari' time and mental enrichment (like puzzle toys or fetch) to keep them happy until dinner. Evening: Wind-down time. After our final walk, we spend the evening relaxing as a pack in the living room. Keeping it Simple & Fun: I believe dogs are happiest when life is simple: good walks, clear routines, and lots of love. My favorite activity is watching a dog's confidence grow as we explore new trails together. Your pet won't just be 'watched'—they’ll be part of the adventure!"
