Pet care experience

Your pet(s) only

I only take in one pet (and siblings) at a time. I think it's less traumatic for the pets if there are not other animals around when they are separated from their family. I do everything that I can to make the experience fun and loving. I love both cats and dogs for different reasons. I’ve had pets my entire life until recently. Since most of my pets died of old age, I am experienced with geriatric pets and their special needs as well. I follow your instructions on pet-care. I've watched many dogs and cats in different homes with completely different schedules and rules. I am an early bird so if you have dogs, I like to walk early before it gets too hot. But again, if your dog is used to sleeping in, I can work with his schedule. I do this for fun as well as extra income. I only take up to two pets at a time and they must be siblings. I may take in a third depending on circumstances. Just ask! I am mostly home with the pets. I even have my groceries delivered! I go the gym most mornings for about 1.5 hours. I started pet-sitting to fill the void after my last pet died. I’ve been pet and house sitting professionally around the world since 2016. I board dogs or cats in my home in Port Charlotte. I love to travel and am open to pet sitting in your home anywhere in the world, as long as it's somewhere I'm interested in. I am always interested in Eagle Rock/Glassell Park, CA, as that's where my son lives.

Peggy watched my two senior pups while we were overseas for the holiday. As always, they were so well-cared for and knowing they were with Peggy truly made my vacation a joyful and relaxing one. She is such a wonderful care-giver!

Peggy was amazing with our doggie. She sent so many photos and updates while we were away - it almost felt as if we never left her! We will definitely use Peggy again! I know Luna will be eager to go back.

Peggy was so good with my two senior pups. She was patient when they took a while to settle in and accommodated my dog-reactive Luna. I loved the updates and the photos! Both came home healthy and calm, unlike when they are boarded at a kennel. Peggy is a wonderful pet-sitter!

Schedule

I am an early riser so I like to walk the dogs as the sun is rising and then again at dusk. I have a large fenced-in yard so the dogs have a lot of freedom, but I don't leave them alone outside. I am working on house projects so I am almost always around.

Safety, trust & environment

I am accepting up to two sibling dogs/cats for boarding in my home. I prefer crate-trained dogs as they feel more secure in their crates and it's less traumatic for them to be left at a stranger's house. I am flexible on this depending on the age of your dogs. Most of the time, they are free. I am finding that most dogs just follow me around since I am actively working on the house. The house is fairly new to me so there are many projects to be done!

A typical day

Please note the heavy discount for a second pet (siblings only). This is a loving, safe haven for your pet(s) while you are away. I love the company of pets so I am active with your pet. I love to walk, especially with a dog or two! If the dog is especially energetic, I'll play tug of war, fetch or with bubbles in the yard as well. If you have a playful cat, I will exercise them. If not, I'll just love on them.
