Pet care experience
I’ve owned every animal from alpacas to peacocks during my Illinois farm life. We always had a pack of hounds running around! Five years ago I retired from pharmacy, sold my farm and moved to the mountains. I miss my canine crew (they lived to ripe old ages) and would love to provide a safe and happy environment for your pet.

Peggy is an awesome new friend to our border collie Brody. She is truly a smart, caring, responsible adult who lives in a country setting, is available 24/7, and is the perfect active partner to a border collie. Her past experience of living on a farm and caring for varied animals gave us confidence in her ability to treat Brody as her own in any situation. She seems basically unflappable. She also went above and beyond with hikes in windy and snowy conditions, and with new games to keep him interested. She sent us many photos which showed him happy and engaged and had great communication throughout. We are SO HAPPY to have found someone we can completely trust in any circumstances to take care of our boy, and won't hesitate to use her again if we need a sitter. On top of everything else, she is simply a delightful and creative spirit. Thanks so much, Peggy! We'll see you for hikes this summer!

We booked with Peggy very last minute upon learning we could not bring our pup for a weekend away. Peggy was super responsive and welcoming to Gemma. She’s very caring and provided a comfortable space for our dog for a couple nights while we were away. Daily updates and photos were provided! I’d definitely have Peggy sit our dog again in the future.

A typical day
There are 60 miles of quiet gravel roads in my neighborhood we can explore! I’m pretty good at throwing a ball and love to play. Cuddling on the couch is wonderful too. I’ll be happy to provide whatever your pet needs.

I am extremely flexible since I’m retired. I’m a writer/artist and spend lots of time exploring the areas around Buena Vista and Fairplay. And there are many days I just stay home in my three acres enjoying the view.
