A typical day
Depends on the energy & friendliness level of the pet; we can go for casual strolls, longer hikes, play fetch, tug of war, hide & seek, and belly rubs/cuddles in between. If given clearance, we can go for a windows down cruise to get a pup cup! Dog parks are not off the table, however I prefer to only do this with longer-term commitments as I’d like time to assess behavior patterns on neighborhood walks, etc. My main concern is always the safety and happiness of your fur baby.

Hi, I’m Payton — a lifelong animal lover based in Austin/Lakeway! Over the past 25+ years, I've had the opportunity to care for and work with 135+ pets of various breeds & needs. Whether your pet needs long adventure walks, extra playtime, medication, or a cozy day of snuggles - I provide personalized care, catered to their unique personality, routine, and needs. I’ve cared for puppies/kittens, seniors, special-needs, and hospice pets. I’m experienced with administering medications for epilepsy, GI and kidney conditions, eye diseases, allergies, joint issues, and other health needs. I enjoy getting to know each pet’s individual personality — from their breed-specific quirks and favorite activities to the little things that make them feel safe and at home. When you entrust your pets to me, you can rest assured that they’ll be treated as if they’re my own.

We highly recommend Payton. This was our first time and there are quite a few things to share. First and foremost, she accommodated our request for a 4-night stay literally last minute. Payton was very transparent with a certain window that doesn't work for her, and we really appreciate that. She was able to spend a lot of times with our pet Bones, gave him a lot of good attention, took him out for walks, gave him timely meds and spoilt him with timely treats 😆. Payton also watered our plants (indoors and outdoors), and gave Bones a bath. I want to highlight that Payton was very responsive throughout, shared updates proactively and also washed the bed sheets before she left. We were very anxious about our last minute situation, and thanks to Payton - we were fully relaxed during our trip. We're definitely going back to Payton next time as our first option!
Payton was absolutely wonderful with our dogs. She sent us so many pics, took them on many walks and they seemed so happy!!! She was extremely communicative and we would absolutely use Payton again to watch our dogs and stay with them in our house. She even left us a thank you card for our return!!!! 🩷
Payton stayed at our house for a week and did a great job. She earned the trust of our extremely shy rescue dog, sent daily updates, and left everything in perfect condition. She handled an unexpected situation professionally and communicated what happened right away. We came home to a clean house, a thoughtful handwritten card, and two happy pets :) We hope to use Payton again in the future and feel comfortable recommending her.
