Availability
I have recently relocated to Chinatown/Two Bridges/LES from my previous location uptown in the heights! This means my schedule is open for new clients in the downtown area. I look forward to meeting you and your mimi's! I'm a part-time psychotherapy graduate student with a flexible schedule. I am currently on summer break, which means I'm available around the clock to care for your kitties! Flexibility on check-in times is greatly appreciated! In flexible cases, I will generally commit to visiting around the same time each day (within a 1-2 hour window) to help foster your cat's sense of routine. If a strict routine is in place, and/or your cat requires medication at specific time(s) each day, please let me know and I will make sure to accommodate!

Safety, trust & environment
Patience and grace is always used when meeting new cats. I ensure I attend to each cat's needs and body language in order to build trust with them. I have experience caring for cats with anxiety, fear, and aggression—if any of these are present, please let me know so we can discuss what works best for your cat. I will always maintain care and respect when entering the home. This includes removing shoes at the door, and wearing house slippers if provided. If there are any housekeeping tasks that I can help with while you're away, don't hesitate to ask! I'm a very tidy person, and will always leave the home as clean or cleaner than I found it.
Information Payton P. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of any special needs of your pet or things to look out for. Are they known to chew on or ingest any inedible objects? Is there a limit to how many treats can be given per day? I have experience administering most forms of medication (e.g., injections, pills, inhaler, eye ointment, eye drops, oral syringe) and various methods of oral pill delivery (e.g., pill shooter, swaddle method, pill pockets, mixing into food). Please let me know of any medication and special instructions if applicable!
A typical day
I will often give treats (with your permission) to create positive associations with visits. I also try to include play time in every visit—especially for single cats who don't have any mates to play with. Every cat is different—I'd love to know your cat's favorite toys and types of play. If they get dry treats, I will often start a game of chase-the-treat by tossing a few around the room. I also like to go the extra mile to increase fulfillment and stimulation in the time between visits. This can include hiding treats around for them to hunt and find later, or putting "cat TV" on with a sleep timer (if a TV with access to Youtube is available). Affectionate cats will always get plenty of love and pets, of course!

Reviews

Peyton was great! My cats loved her! I can tell they had a nice time with her.

We had a wonderful experience with Payton! She was incredibly responsible, attentive, patient, communicative, and always on time. Our cat Mimi requires a higher level of care with daily medications on a strict schedule, and she is also very shy — but Payton handled everything so gently and professionally. She was calm, careful, and clearly very experienced with cats and medications. She gave us complete peace of mind while we were away, which meant so much to us. During our trip, Mimi got confused because we moved her litter box before we left and she accidentally peed/pooped outside the box. Payton kindly cleaned everything up for us without hesitation, and we were truly so grateful for her help, patience, and understanding. We highly recommend her and will absolutely book with her again in the future!

I cannot recommend Payton enough! She immediately picks up on my shy cat's body language and knows exactly what to do to help her feel comfortable. She also sends the most wonderful photo updates, which provide such peace of mind! I will absolutely continue booking her for all my future trips.

Payton always does a fantastic job caring for our cats, they always love it when she visits. She always gives them plenty of playtime and checks on their food, water and litter. We would definitely have Payton back to sit for us again!
