Pet care experience

your fur babies: my fur babies

I have experience volunteering at animal shelters. I’ve cared for kittens and pups as young as a couple weeks. I’ve also worked with older dogs and meeting them where they’re at while still providing a stimulating/fun environment.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I care for every pet as if they were my own. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I stick closely to their usual routine so they feel safe and comfortable. This includes feeding on schedule, walks, playtime, and lots of attention. I make sure pets get plenty of exercise, enrichment, while keeping their environment calm and safe. I’m very respectful of clients’ homes and always keep pet areas clean and organized. I also love sending photo updates and check-ins so pet parents can relax knowing their fur babies are happy and well cared for.

Schedule

Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine. Since I already care for my own dog and cats every day, I’m very accustomed to maintaining consistent routines. I make it a priority to give pets plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while also keeping their schedules consistent and stress-free!

Before caring for a pet, I like to learn as much as possible to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. Important things for me to know include their daily routine, feeding schedule, walking habits, and favorite activities. I also ask about temperament, energy level, any triggers or fears, and how they interact with other pets or people. Medical needs, medications, allergies, and emergency vet information are very important as well. Knowing what makes a pet happy, like favorite toys, treats, or cuddle preferences, all this helps me give them the best care possible.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
