I love pets like they're my own.
Dear pet owners, my name is Paulien, I'm 26 years old and I live in Amsterdam-West. I have a studio apartment of 27m². I live on the ground floor, so there are no stairs, in case if your furr baby has trouble or isn't allowed to walk up and down stairs yet. I have finished college, I want to become a dog trainer next year, which is an online study, so I'll have plenty of time next to my study to take care of your furr babie(s). I don't have any pets of my own, so I have all the time to do what I love most, taking care of animals! I always make sure that my calendar is updated, but I'm free most of the time! Back in 2018 I had a partner who has 1 dog and 3 cats. I loved taking care of them, take long walks in the park or at the beach. Nothing brings me more joy than play and cuddle with them. My partner at the time had a family friend who owned a dog named Shana and used to take care of their dog, whenever she was on vacation, before she passed away. The reason why I don't have a pet of my own is because my apartment is too small (27m²). So I searched for an option where I can still take care and show my love for pets. I found Rover and started working through here in 2019 as a pet sitter. My heart aches for animals and I want to share my love for them with as many pet owners as I can. I'd love to learn more where needed.

Paulien is a very reliable dog sitter! Our dog quickly felt at home with her. Paulien sent us photos, videos and updates every day!! Paulien paid attention to the dog's needs and easily managed to find an approach to her. Our dog seemed to have a really good vacation with Paulien and stilll visibly treasures those memories ☺️
Highly recommend! Paulien provided a lot of updates, and our rescue dog who is unsure of new people really loved her and seemed very happy and comfortable while we were on holiday!

Our teenager Doudou, a 7 months old Portuguese Bordercollie boy, had a wonderful and great time at Paulien her house. She took care of Doudou very very very well! Also including looking after commands and training. Really watching him for what he needed and which moments to let him rest and chill out from all stimuli outside. She had some great advice for us. Doudou even learned Spanish commands 🐕 She played with him and walked long walks, because he has a lot of energy. Sending us sweet pictures, videos and updates and when she had any questions, just asked us. I would ask Paulien any time to watch our energetic dog and would love to let him stay another time in the future 🐾

Rince Rover is my full time job, I have plenty of time to take care of your furr babies! I can take your dog(s) on long walks if you'd like or stay inside and play/cuddle with some lovely cats.

My apartment is fairly small and I don't have a garden where dogs can play, so I'd take them to the park near me (Westerpark) to have some fun, run around and just have a good time. With cats I just like to play with them, cuddle with them and of course let them have their own space where they can rest and explore. I will make sure to give them their space and let them get used to me. I will let the pets be and let them come to me before interacting, I respect their space and want them to feel safe and comfortable around me. When I would be staying in your home, I will always ask if there are things I have to be cautious about (for instance, if the dog is anxious, make sure he doesn't get sensory overladed and if so, because it can be pretty crowded outside, please go back home).

I'll go to the park, the beach and just have some nice long walks with them. We can throw balls and sticks. We can run together for some proper excersise, which is great for the dog and me ;) I will btw never take your dog off the leash, no matter how well they're trained!
