Hello there & welcome! I am looking to take care of your pet in my comfortable, cozy home while you are away on vacation, weekends and holidays. I have experience with owning and taking care of dogs. I worked for a year with a local NYC pet service company house sitting & walking dogs, volunteered at a dog shelter, and took the HSU (Humane Society University) online course Interpreting Animal Behavior for Safe Handling I also lived with a pitbull named Hudson for a couple of years and a mixed breed named Lucky. Growing up it was my dog, Cotton. I really love dogs and their companionship, so they would be very well taken care of. Of benefit, I am self-employed, and thus work from home a good bit of the time so your pet would get a lot of attention. There also would be only one pet at a time for the safety of your pet (unless there are 2 pets in your family that need boarding at the same time). No resident dogs or any other pets reside here. Prefer dogs 2 years plus. I've also house sat for cats. Just love them! I consider them little bundles of joy. Of note: 1. I really enjoy helping elderly dogs or cats. I have an affinity for older people & that has crossed over both dogs and cats. 2. There would be a minimum of three walks per day. 3. Near Leroy Street Dog Run and the Hudson River. 4. Near Greenwich Village Animal Hospital. 5. Dog & cat friendly building. 6. Birds are welcome. I owned a peachfaced lovebird for 15 years named Birdette. $20 7. Non smoking home, clean & very well maintained.

Paulette took amazing care of my 3 year old pup after we had to find a sitter for a last minute trip. She was super easy to communicate with & sent regular pictures (that were also amazing snaps of him). I really appreciated her care & concern throughout the whole process, which showed the kind of professionalism you want when leaving your fur baby with someone new!
Paulette was amazing! I felt completely at ease knowing Bongo was in great hands while I was traveling. She kept me updated throughout the day and sent me lots of pictures, which I really appreciated. She made me feel very comfortable and gave me so much peace of mind. Paulette once again was amazing! My dog had not seen her in a bit and 100% remembered her and made herself right at home. Paulette took her on great neighborhood walks, cuddled her and was very diligent about her care - I could tell from the photos how happy my dog was with her. 100% recommend!
Paulette was absolutely amazing with our dog, Jax. He’s a Shiba Inu, which is definitely not the easiest breed to care for, but she handled him with so much patience and understanding. We had unexpected flight delays, and she was incredibly flexible and helpful throughout the whole situation, which really gave us peace of mind. She also kept us updated with lots of photos and daily reports, so we always knew how Jax was doing. It was clear that Jax had a great time with her and felt comfortable in her care. We’re so grateful and would absolutely trust Paulette again. Highly recommend!

Paulette is always our first choice when we’re out of town! Jeffery absolutely loves going there and we can see from all the pictures he gets tons of love and attention! I would recommend Paulette to anyone!

Schedule
I work part-time from home, and part-time outside. I am able to insure, because of the type of work that I do, that I can be home every 4 hours to check in on your little one & take them out. I really revolve my schedule around each dog and cat guest.

I care for your pet, as you would at home. I follow the care instructions and routine, to make sure your pup and kitty are comfortable and less anxious in a new environment. Routine is important.
A typical day
I am self-employed so work part-time from home, thus am able to give a lot of attention to your dog or cat. Lots of play time, tug of war, belly rubs, coat brushing and for dogs, at least 3 walks per day. I live near the Hudson River Dog Run as well so if your dog is allowed we will be there! Since I am close to the Hudson River it is particularly nice to walk along the path & through the parks. Your dog and cat would have free run of my apartment and furniture as well. My guests really enjoy this!
