My husband and I have kept pets for the last 40 years. I am now retired and so I’m at home all day. Ihave a lot of experience and a lot of love. We lost our last fur baby 2 years ago and are looking to take care of a dog without owning one. I have been boarding dogs through Rover since March 2024. I am licensed through Derby City Council (License no 108144) to board dogs at home. I am also fully insured.

Paula was amazing with Riley. We’ve never left him for more than a few nights so we were nervous about anyone looking after him for 2 weeks but we didn’t need to be and Paula soon put our minds at rest. She was so good with Riley, took him for walks, sent me photo updates and messages daily so I knew he was happy. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more ❤️ thank you so much! We’ll be booking in again for sure x
Always confident leaving Ted with Paula. He can be quite clingy with his family and it will take him a few days to settle down with someone new but Paula perseveres and hopefully reaps the reward when he gets used to her again. Ted has stayed with Paula 4 times now and next time we would always ask her first before we used anyone else. She sends photos and asks questions if not sure about what to do with Ted. Benji loves staying with Paula it home from home for him always makes Benji feel welcome as if Benji is Paula’s own Benji can’t wait for his next stay xx
Lucy loves the stay! Paula is accommodating and you can sense her love for dogs. There are continuous photo updates during the stay so we know how Lucy is doing and make us miss her more. We will put Lucy with Paula again if possible!

Schedule
I am retired and so at home all day with plenty of time for walks, love and attention. I would always try to be in the house when a dog is here,

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
i have a fenced garden and all the time in the world to walk and fuss your dog. Our next door neighbours cat pops by most days but keeps itself to itself. I don’t have a crate as we never created our dogs and they’ve always been allowed the run of the house.
A typical day
We have parks and fields near by, some are completely enclosed , if the dog owner is happy for their dog run around off lead in a secure place then we could do this.
