It's like a doggie vacation here!
My husband Thom & I are semi-retired former retail business owners who would welcome the opportunity to offer a vacation spot & affection to your dog. We live in a wonderful log cabin in the woods outside of Loveland Ohio, north of Cincinnati. We raised & adored Old English Sheepdogs for 30 years, but now have an empty nest & would love to take care of your dog. They are free to roam in any room of the house, if they are comfortable doing so. We also did Bed & Breakfast in our home years ago, so know how to care for visitors, even four legged ones! The Loveland Little Miami bike trail is nearby for walks, also our neighborhood has lots of walking & playing opportunities. The woods has space for running, playing & squirrel chasing. WE LOVE DOGS! & have sat for some of neighbor's pets. We both have part-time jobs a couple days a week, but not usually the same days, so one or both of us are almost always here to play, walk & tend your loved one as much as they need. Why I love dog sitting I had Old English Sheepdogs for a 30 year period, raising 3 litters of pups, and keeping some for years. After losing our last one , we were so heartbroken, we did not get another dog. So we like to interact with other people's dogs whenever we can, sharing some of that love & affection we know we can give them & they can give us! Meet my pets none right now About my yard We live on the edge of woods, not fenced in, but we can spend time with them outdoors. Our front yard is flat, and the back slopes down to a small creek (dry most of the time), all wooded. We are on a private lane near a golf course, so there's plenty of walking opportunities. My experience administering medication Absolutely. I've had my share of sick dogs & can give pills & administer shots if needed, or serve special diets if necessary.

Paula took great care of Milo. We had a meet and greet to make sure he was comfortable and she took very thorough notes on all of his medications and his routine. He was very happy while we were gone. In fact he did not even want to leave when I went to pick him up. We felt very comfortable with Paula and had a great experience. We would not hesitate to rebook.
My dog was very comfortable there. And my dog has high anxiety. They are definitely dog people! I felt very secure leaving my dog with them.
Paula’s place is the perfect spot for your furry friend to vacation. Heavily wooded area for great walks and a cozy home to relax in. What else could you ask for!? Thanks Paula.

Schedule
We are both semi-retired, so one or both of us is almost always home with your pet. We take them out to walk or potty as they need.

Safety, trust & environment
We do not have a fenced yard, but live in the woods at the end of a private lane, so there's plenty of room to walk & roam. However we will never let your dog out without being on a leash, unless we know them well & that they will not stray.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We are at the end of a no outlet private lane next to the woods, so there is plenty of walking spaces, in the woods & on the lane. And also the Little Miami BikeTrail is close by. If they wanted, we could take them to a local dog park. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Pretty much wherever he/she wants. It depends on what they are used to & we try to provide it. Our house is pretty much open floor plan, so they can go to any spot they feel comfortable in. Time I'll spend with your dog Many days we are home all day, or one of us is here. So they can hang out with us here. We do walk daily, so will be glad to take them as many times as they need. We can also go to the bike trail & walk, or the woods around us. If they like to interact with other dogs, we have a few in our neighborhood they may want to play with.
