Travel worry-free as your dog will be treated like family with me.

***20% Discount for Paramedics, Police and Firefighters***

Feel free to bring your dogs bedding and toys. Your dog(s) will get walks, backyard playtime, love and attention while you are away. Travel worry-free as I will update you with pictures, stories, and especially if any unexpected event were to occur. The dogs can be separated for meals and sleeping as needed. All requests will be considered and I'll try to do as you would for your pet. Let me know about your dog's routine at home so I can try to do something similar. I have a dog crate to use if needed or requested.

Our home is a 1950s style, 1,100 sqft house. The dogs spend most of their stay in the living room, kitchen area, and sun room. The backyard has 20+ trees providing shade and a fully fenced perimeter. There is a large covered patio and covered extension to the carport area inside the fenced yard. This is especially good for rainy days so the pups don't have to go out in the rain to potty. Our dog guests are supervised when outside and would not be left out for long periods of time. Fresh water is provided when the pups are outside.

For your dog, please bring: a non-retractable leash under 6 ft, flat collar with ID tag, copy of most recent rabies vaccine and/or other records, written or typed vet information along with emergency vet preference, any food or treats you want for your dog, chew toys, bone, and bedding/crate. Take a moment to complete the Vet information and care instructions when you book the stay. Please also provide a local emergency contact who can be called in the event you are unable to be reached. Thank you in advance.

Same day drop off and pick up dog sitting in our home is also available for a discounted rate of $20/day.

About this sitter:
Hi,I'm Paula. Thank you for looking at my profile. I'm an experienced sitter who will treat your dog and other pets like a family member when you are away. Your fur babies will receive lots of petting, playing and walking during my visits. Pictures of your dog will be posted for you or sent via text message by request. I can provide you updates from time to time while you are away from home as well. Special requests or additional services will be considered and may have an additional charge such as staying overnight at your home, putting out trash cans, cleaning, poop patrolling your yard, and watering plants or grass. **Please complete the instructions and vet information when you book the sitting service for optimal communication**. If you have any questions, please let me know.

I provide dog sitting services in Austin limited to the following areas: North (up to 183/Mopac), Central, West (as far as Scenic Dr), East (as far as Ed Bluestein), South (between Lamar & Mopac, serving Barton Hills) and all of Downtown.

I can provide pet care for cats, reptiles, frogs, fish, small mammals, birds and pet rocks. I love exotics too!! I will provide a discount for multiple pets for my travel service so please let me know up front how many and what type of pets you have.

I have experience with several types of dogs (large and small, old and young) and volunteer at the Austin Animal Center. I am comfortable coming to your home. Please let me know what to expect with your dog's behavior upon greeting me. If your dog has any history of aggression with new people, I'd like to come over to meet you and your dog before your trip. Leave plenty of food, treats, chew toys, collar, leash and any medication or other items that we will need for your dog. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!! I can also look after snakes, lizards, fish tanks, cats, birds, small mammals, and just about any other pet you might have. A discount will apply for multiple pets.

Why I love dog sitting
Dogs have been a part of my life since I was a child. I worked at a vet office in high school where I fell in love with dogs even further. I now volunteer at the Austin Animal Center.

Meet my pets
My dog, Duke, is a 5 year old Lab Mix adopted from Austin Pets Alive. He is healthy, current on all vaccines and gets a long well with other dogs. We have two cats, Cinnamon and Elena, that are kept in a different part of the house because Duke is not yet "cat-friendly" and training is in progress. We enjoy reptiles and would also be able to watch your lizards, turtles and snakes by request. There is plenty of room for everyone!!

About my yard
We have a large covered patio and carport that are gated and with a fenced in yard. The dogs have plenty of room for playing. Fresh water is provided when the dogs are outdoors for play time. The yard is about 1,000 square feet. The dogs don't have to go out into the rain to potty since the covered area extends over a small part of the yard.

My experience administering medication
I am comfortable administering medications.

What Paula needs to know about your dog

Any breeds, types, and sizes of dogs are included as long as they are usually friendly with other dogs and people. Special needs dogs will be considered and special care can be provided on a case by case scenario. I will take special care with dogs who have a difficult time walking on a leash and those who are anxious. If your dog has any history of aggression, please let me know and we will schedule a time to meet prior to your trip.

When your dog stays in Paula's home

Here's where we'll take our walks
We will walk your pup in our dog friendly neighborhood or Shoal Creek trail.

Your dog's sleeping arrangement
Guest dogs will sleep on their beds in the living room. That is where our dog sleeps too but we have another bedroom available if the dogs need their own space. Our dog can be crated if needed for resting apart from a dog guest.

Time I'll spend with your dog
We will have time for your dog most of the day. Ronny is a student and is home most hours of the day. Your pet may be alone for a limited amount of time on Mondays-Thursdays. We are home most of the day on Fridays-Sundays as well as weekday mornings, evenings, and all nights. We update the availability calendar regularly. You can book up to 4 months in advance which I encourage. I offer a 10% discount for stays booked 2 months in advance.

Duke is a yellow Lab mix. He is a rescue adopted from Austin Pets Alive. He has a gentle nature and loves to swim. Duke gets along well with other dogs of all ages and sizes. Duke can be a little timid when meeting human strangers so it is best to let him approach you or a visitor rather than reaching out for him and definitely avoid hovering him when you first meet. Once he knows you belong there, he is fine and relaxed. He is fine when meeting dogs and loves making new friends.

As always, Paula took wonderful care of my babies! My shy boys are not the most social dogs, but they seemed to do will with Paula and her boy Duke. She sent me photos during their stay. I can recommend Paula to anyone looking for a caring and kind sitter.
