My specific experience with dogs comes from my teenage years with my family dog, a Jack Russell Terrier, who was full of energy. The concept of 'training' and disciplining dogs was not one available to me at the time, although as a cat parent of two today, I understand how important it is to follow a routine and regimen for pet stability. I am also mindful of protecting dogs and their space, especially in public settings during walks. My Jack Russell Terrier always loved to bark, and that was a sign for me to keep physical distance from other people and dogs (to respect and preserve everyone's safety). With my cats, I have also learned to keep an organized feeding schedule and observe behavioural patterns to keep a pet calm and safe from day-to-day changes.

I pay attention to pet behaviour and follow instructions about the unique needs for cats and dogs: Attention and engagement are important, but it is also important not to overwhelm or overstimulate my pets as well. I am also very communicative: first, with pet parents who require updates and second, with the pet themselves (even if we speak different pet languages :)

Paula was absolutely wonderful with Ollie! She is extremely structured, calm, punctual, gentle, and caring — exactly the kind of person we needed for our big dog. This was our first trip away without Ollie, and Paula made the entire experience feel completely seamless and stress-free. We especially loved her adorable voice-note updates at the end of each day, walking us through everything Ollie had been up to and keeping us posted on her walks, meals, mood, and activities. It was so reassuring and genuinely made us feel connected to Ollie even while we were away. Paula also took incredible care of our home and left it sparkling clean when we returned. Most importantly, we could tell Ollie was comfortable and well cared for with her. We would absolutely trust Paula with Ollie again and she will definitely be one of our go-to sitters in the future. Highly recommend her!

Schedule
I work from home and on my own terms (minus scheduled, virtual meetings), so I can easily adapt my break/working times to meet the scheduled needs of pet care.

- Please let me know if your pet is trained, and if they have a specific routine as part of their training. For dogs, my preference will be for those who are generally trained to avoid aggression.
