Their Home Away From Home

Being involved in animal rescue for over 30 years, I received many requests from adoptive families concerned about pets being left alone daytime, being cared for overnights and while on vacation. I decided caring for pets in my home would be a great service to offer families and pets, as well as a rewarding experience for me. I cannot remember a time when animals weren't a part of my life! My mother started a non-profit rescue group when I was about 9 years old and my passion for animals continually grew stronger. My pet family (personal and rescues/fosters) have consisted of lots and lots of dogs, cats, rats, rabbits, snakes, birds, and so many more types of animals! The way my home is set up is perfect for pet care. My kitchen leads to my garage, which leads to my deck and large fenced in back yard. I spend the majority of the day working on my computer at the kitchen table, so pets spend the majority of their time with me. There is a large bay window overlooking my yard, so dogs are rarely out of my sight for more than a few minutes. CAMERON: I took Cameron in as a foster dog when he was 3 years old and decided that I would adopt him. He has a wonderful temperament , is good with all breeds of dogs, loves people and children. Cameron loves making new friends and can't wait to play with them in his yard! Be sure to check out the pictures of Cameron with his guests! He's a great sharer! SNOWIE: Snowie came to my home as a foster. She had not been taken care of properly (hair was matted, long, urine/feces, nails grown into pads). The fur around her eyes were knotted and obstructed her vision. Once Snowie was bathed and groomed, I noticed that she would walk into things in her bath. I brought her to a vet and was told that she was 100% blind and that it was most likely from head trauma. I also discovered that Snowie (who was believed to be spayed) was pregnant! With my assistance, Snowie gave birth to NINE puppies! Due to Snowie's traumatic life and the fact that she became bonded and dependent on me, I decided to add her to my family. IN addition, my daughter lives around the corner from me and is my emergency backup!

Paula is a true animal lover. She provided a warm, loving space for our big guy while we were away. Our dog has some anxiety and isn’t always comfortable in all environments, but was at ease with Paula. We’d love to use her again!

Paula was fantastic! We loved the space our dog had to run around at her place, and appreciated that there was a little canine company for him with her dogs. Paula was so easy to communicate with, flexible, and kept our dog happy and comfortable during our short trip away. Could not recommend her more highly!! Thank you Paula!
