Safety, trust & environment

I will treat your pet as my own and follow your care instructions to the best of my ability. I am comfortable with free roaming or crated pets at night, and I believe in building in daily time for structured and unstructured play. This includes going on leashed walks around the neighborhood or nature hike paths, and playing games such as fetch the ball, pet puzzles, and other toys. We will create a care plan together and I will send updates with photos throughout the day.

House Sitting • Sep 29, 2026

Paula is a super nice person and did leave our house in great condition. Our dog has separation anxiety and we stressed the importance of a calming sitter that would be happy spending most of their time at the home with him due to his excessive howling, barking when left alone too long. He is a small companion dog and was looking to find someone to do full house sitting that realizes how stressful this is for us and for him when we travel. We did several meet n greets and chose Paula because she emphasized how she was working on her masters and would be there on her computer or reading along with watching some TV for the majority of the time. We asked for short walks along with pictures and updates to let us know how he was doing. We disclosed our front door porch camera and we could see that Paula was out more than she was in. She would leave for approx 4+ hours at a time, even into the late night and leave our stressed dog there by himself. We also disclosed our camera in LR to check in on him only when she was away for the most part unless we were worried with no communication. We could watch him clearly having high separation anxiety because of the small amount of time that she was there. She took him for 1 walk in 4 days and that was only when I texted her about it. Paula would be great for drop ins but does not show enough care for a long term house sitter in our opinion. We could possibly rebook her as a drop in, but we have 3 years history with another drop in sitter with Rover that is a 5 star sitter that we know truly has a love for animals. If you have a low maintenance dog that does not need comforting, she would be a good fit. We never got "report cards" even after the entire sitting ended and had to text and ask for updates and photos. We only got a couple from her. Her communication improved after I had to text her at nearly 11pm at night one night to see why he was there by himself and if she was ok?The final day she stepped up her communication but overall the experience was stressful for us and our dog. Full instructions were given in meet n greet and sent by email. If you book Paula be sure to give instructions exactly what you expect with no gray areas. Would not recommend for small companion dogs.

Paula is great. She gave our dog lots of attention and even stripped the bed she was using and washed rhe sheets. Above and beyond the call of duty.

Paula stayed a week in our home to take care of our dog and did an amazing job. She took care of his daily meds, walks, playtime and chill time. We were comforted knowing he was in such great and capable hands and could tell how much he enjoyed being with her. We look forward to having Paula watch Louie again! 🤩🐾

Paula was very good with my dog Harvey. I had no worries while he was with her and appreciated the pictures and updates throughout the day. Would recommend her for anyone who is looking for a caring dog sitter.
