We have a large grassy fenced yard as well as an attached garage for rainy day play time. Our woodburner in the garage gives us all a super cozy area to dry off, play and cuddle during winter months. We strive to maintain clean sanitary toys, water and potty areas. If you pet shows any signs of illness please do not bring them as GI bugs are contagious. Our fence will keep your pup safe & secure for the average dog, however please note that if your pet is a jumper -athletic tall , think cattle dog, Great Danes etc fence, then understand we would not be a good fit. Pets are just like human family and are allowed to hang on the furniture and sleep in our bed with us. We also can give them their quiet space as we have extra bedrooms now that we are empty nesters.

Information Paula & Bill G. would like to know about your pet

We strive for a safe, playful yet calm setting. You know your dog, we would appreciate your honesty regarding any aggressive behaviors. I cannot consider breeds that are known to have unpredictable, aggressive behaviors. In house marking simply confuses every pup that comes to stay and since we are retired we stay clear of high energy athletic herding/cattle etc. Again, no fence jumpers. Having said that, let’s talk, schedule a meet & greet and see if your pup is a fit. Generally Marty, our golden and Ginger Cavapoo are the best hosts and they play super well with all kinds of doodles, labs, retrievers, newfoundlands, Bernese mountain, Aussies, beagles, King Charles spaniels, Corgis, etc pups just to name a few. Please have current vaccination records as well current flea treatment, which not only protects your pup but also others. Does your pup need nails trimmed? Information on your vet in the event of need. Any special routine, feeding schedule, fears. Any items to make them feel comfortable while you are away, please provide clean bedding if they prefer it. Are they good with other dogs? Our golden is very moderate energy, playful but calm. Are they afraid of noises? Big trucks? How are they with other dogs? How are they in unfamiliar settings? Pick up time boarding is 12 noon. Extended hour pickup for boarding counts as daycare or an extra night charge depending on hours. No late evening drop offs as we want your pet to have enough daylight to play and get settled.

A typical day

We are early risers which gives pups the time they need for potty and a chance to smell the new day. Lawn is a nice grassy area with shade to run, play fetch, and smell.

Pet care experience

Hello! New to “Rover” but certainly not new to dogs! When you come to visit you will see our “Wall of Wags” which has photos of the many happy pups we have hosted. We are both retired and home all the time and we are available to play and cuddle your pet and make them feel comfortable while you are away. We understand that pups can be very anxious in new settings and also understand how you feel leaving them! We have a 5 year old male golden retriever and a large fenced shady lawn ! Solid positive references too! Our homey routine is very predictable and regular to enjoy outdoor playtime and burning up energy, on time feeding and potty breaks are super easy. We live in a relaxed comfortable home and want your pet to feel like family. We don’t require a crate but if you prefer a crate I do have one if you prefer this. I am a retired registered nurse. You can feel at ease leaving your furry friends with me.

I brought our dog Yukon for daycare to Paula & Bill today, and I were a little worried at the beginning since my dog has strong separation anxiety. To my surprise, Yukon adapted so well in new environment. He felt comfortable very quickly, and had great time with Paula,Bill and their two dogs Marty &Ginger. iIt was clear he was well cared for and given lots of attention. It means so much to us to find a loving, patient, and responsible family to take care of our fur baby. We truly appreciate the warm and safe environment they provide. We definitely will come back again! Highly recommend!

Paula and Bill (and Marty!) were absolutely wonderful. When another solution fell through at the last minute, they quickly stepped in to care for Loki during a family event with very short notice. Their warm and caring personalities put me completely at ease, and their home is lovely and welcoming. The attention to detail they showed in caring for him was exactly what I needed during a stressful time. They turned what could have been a difficult situation into an absolute relief. Highly recommend! Thank you!
