Large yard - Walks up East Rock
I have been caring for my own dogs for the past 24 years. My first two dogs were a Norwegian Elkhound mix , ( who I raised from a puppy ) and a Pitbull mix, ( who I fostered from the streets of Chicago ). Recently my Tennesse hound passed away and I am not yet ready to take in a new best friend, but more than happy to share some joy with yours. My house is situated at the base of East Rock park and I walk up the rock and through the trails daily. If your dogs life a rigorous hike we can do that up some of the less frequented paths when weather permits. I also have a large fenced in yard and the interior of the house is spacious, with three floors and many rooms, and large windows for rainy gray days. I work at Wesleyan University four days a week so I can not be around Monday through Thursdays, but happy to spend Friday Saturday and Sunday with your pups!

Your dog will have the run of my house. As stated above, there is a fenced in yard and your pup can stay there as much as they want, as I have some chairs out there and enjoy spending time outside as well. At my home they are allowed in any room and have a selection of couchs, rugs and low windows. I am EXTREMELY diligent with not leaving bottom windows open and locking the house up when I leave. As a house sitter, I would respect any rules regarding your pups behavior.

Paul is my absolute favorite dog sitter in the area. I travel most weekends for work from September through April and Paul has watched Rizzo most of those weeks. He takes such great care of Rizzo which gives me such peace of mind while I’m working. Paul treats Rizzo like he’s his own and I’m very thankful to have my dog in such great hands while I’m away.
Happy to have found someone living nearby to host Fred for over a week. Paul was great at communicating and I felt Fred was so very well taken care of. He is highly recommended.
Paul was a wonderful sitter for our two 4-year old 55lb dogs. He clearly loves dogs, gave ours a lot of exercise in East Rock park, and was patient and helpful when we had logistics issues after our international flight home was cancelled. We appreciated that the dogs could play in his yard and how thoughtful he was about introducing them to other people and leaving them for various lengths of time. Unreservedly recommend!
Paul was fantastic with our Tootsie! He was so accommodating to our schedule. They went on long walks together but also had lots of down time. Do not hesitate to book Paul, he genuinely loves dogs!
Paul was just perfect for my needs. He walked my two Welsh Corgi's while I was away. He was always prompt, courteous and considerate. My pups grew to like him a lot, and the walking became and happy for them. My husband, who remained at home during this trip, was very pleased. Thank you Paul!

Schedule
I spend weekends either at home, or close by at my dog friendly art studio. I am an early riser and the first thing I do after coffee is a brisk walk up the trails down the street from my house. Walking with you bestie as much as possible, would be ideal.
