A sucker for dogs with stumpy legs
I grew up with dogs from as long as I can remember, mostly 2 at a time. As an adult I've been involved closely with 2 dogs lives and have become the go-to dog sitter for my friends and family. It helps that I work from home and can set my own schedule. I love to go on walks and would be thrilled to go to the dog parks nearby as it is a little weird to just go by myself. I feel very comfortable with all sizes and have experience with less social dogs, so I feel confident in being able to handle all types of dogs out on the street. I will definitely come up to every dog with that weird high pitch voice we all do but don't let that fool you, I do take dog care very seriously.

Paul is the best! Dogs just love him.

We have worked with Paul for two years now and he is great! Junebug loves him. Paul is basically a celebrity at the dog park.

Paul is always fabulous with our dog, who loves him to bits and is thrilled every time we run into him in the neighborhood. When we go out of town, we rest easy knowing that Merlin is in great hands.

Don't let Paul's love for "dogs with stumpy legs" fool you. My whippet puppy has long skinny legs and she and I were both delighted to have found someone who could take such good care of her on such short notice.

Paul is the best! We had a horrible flight delay and he was so calm about keeping Ozzie for an extra day. Ozzie loves Paul and we’re so lucky to know him!

We are so happy to have found Paul. He was a blessing to our Bella. She is senior dog, blind and has separation anxiety. When I saw a picture of her sleeping near him it warmed my heart. I would definitely highly recommend and use him again for our baby girl.

Schedule
I work from home and set my own schedule (I'm a writer so most projects are long-term). I go for walks a lot, it's been said that I over romanticize the City but I mean, how could you not, it's way more fun that way and I would love to bring along your pooch as a companion.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I live in an apartment by myself so plenty of room for a dog and no roommates that would need to be vetted. I do have experience with less social dogs and, sure it's more stressful, but I feel confident in my street maneuvering to keep them away from other dogs, if it's necessary.
A typical day
I am within 10 blocks of Central Park and one street over from the dog park in Morningside Park. I love to get dogs outside, where they can run out their energy, and then come back to do some light cuddling and petting as I watch a show or do some work (my desk is next to my bed for easy access to ear scratches as I procrastinate).
