Pet care experience

Experienced dog carer, new 2 Rover

I have cared for my own dog for the past 13 years and sadly he died in February 2025. I walked him around my neighborhood consistently for all those years and now having that routine gone is difficult. Before having him as my own, I also helped take care of my families dog for several years. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and demeanors and all sizes too :)

Dog Walking • Jun 07, 2026

Patrick is a very reliable dog walker. He took great care of Ranger and I would highly recommend him.

Pat is a kind and responsible person who you can trust to take excellent care of your “best friend “. Pat recently lost the rescue dog who was his companion for the last 13 years. While not ready to replace Buddy yet, he misses having a dog in the house and would be happy to care for yours while you’re away. Pat has watched dogs many times over the years for family members and neighbors who needed his help. He will play with, walk, and keep your dog company. I’m sure your dog will love staying with Pat.

Schedule

I am attending SUNY Cortland right now and that is the only large barrier in my weekly schedule. I can care and/or walk dogs after 7pm on Monday and Wednesdays. I am available after 4pm on Tuesday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday I can provide care all day with a days notice. Without notice I will most likely be working on Friday and therefore not available until after 4pm that day. I can house-sit on Fridays and Saturdays and into Sunday afternoon as well!

Safety, trust & environment

I will maintain a safe and calm environment for your pet while caring for them and allow them to initiate any desired games or actions. I am willing to accommodate however you prefer for your dog when caring for them, just let me know of anything necessary :) Any questions or concerns for your dog's care are welcomed and appreciated as I prefer a heads up in advance of anything unusual or to keep an eye out/for. Thanks :)

A typical day

I feel comfortable playing any type of games that the dog enjoys playing while we stay at home. I enjoy taking dogs for walks and could accommodate short runs if preferred. I will engage with your dog when we are lounging at home as well. Engagement length and type will depend on the dogs preferences as all dogs have these.
