Patrick can care for
Availability
Pet care fits well into my daily routine because I do best with structure and regular check-ins. I’m available for in-home care, drop-ins, walks, feeding, playtime, and overnight stays depending on the pet’s needs and the schedule. When I’m caring for pets, I make them part of my day instead of treating them like a side task. I’m comfortable following morning and evening routines, giving pets attention throughout the day, and keeping their care consistent. I prefer clear instructions so I can keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible, but I’m flexible and can adapt if your pet needs extra time, patience, or attention.

Safety, trust & environment
When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat both the pet and the home with respect. I follow instructions carefully because pets feel safest when their routine stays familiar — feeding schedule, walks, potty breaks, litter cleanup, sleeping spots, medications, and house rules. Safety is my first priority. I make sure doors, gates, crates, leashes, harnesses, food, and anything the pet could get into are handled carefully. I pay attention to body language and behavior, especially with pets who are nervous, older, shy, or adjusting to someone new. I also believe communication builds trust. I’m happy to send updates, photos, and notes so you know your pet is safe and cared for while you’re away. My goal is to keep things calm, clean, and consistent so your pet feels secure and you can relax.
Information Patrick C. would like to know about your pet
It’s important for me to know your pet’s normal routine, personality, and any safety concerns ahead of time. Things like feeding schedule, potty routine, walk preferences, medication needs, allergies, favorite toys, commands they know, and where they like to sleep all help me keep things consistent. I’d also want to know if they have any anxiety, fears, triggers, escape habits, leash reactivity, food aggression, medical issues, or behaviors I should watch for. For dogs, it helps to know how they do around other dogs, strangers, kids, loud noises, and car rides. For cats, I’d like to know whether they prefer attention or space, where they hide, and any litter box habits. The more I know up front, the better I can keep your pet safe, comfortable, and cared for in a way that feels familiar to them.
A typical day
A typical day depends on your pet’s normal routine, because I want things to feel familiar and low-stress for them. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, litter box care, medications if needed, and any house rules. For fun, I like to match the pet’s personality and energy level. For playful dogs, that might mean walks, fetch, tug toys, sniff breaks, backyard time, or basic enrichment games. For calmer or older pets, it might be slower walks, gentle play, brushing, couch companionship, or just being a steady presence nearby. For cats, I’m happy to do wand toys, laser play if allowed, treats, brushing, or quiet companionship depending on whether they’re social or more independent. My goal is to make the day feel safe, comfortable, and enjoyable — not chaotic or overwhelming. I’ll give them attention, affection, play, and updates so you know they’re doing well while you’re away.

Pet care experience
I’ve cared for dogs and cats for friends, family, neighbors, and roommates over the years, including feeding, walking, playtime, litter cleanup, basic grooming, medication reminders, and overnight care. What sets me apart is that I’m patient, attentive, and good at following routines closely. I understand that every pet has their own personality. Some need lots of play and attention, some need calm companionship, and some need time to warm up. I’m especially comfortable with pets who are shy, anxious, older, or need a little extra patience. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while keeping their routine as normal as possible. I’ll treat your home respectfully and your pet like they matter.
