Most of my work can be done remotely. If you have an animal that cannot be left alone, I can most likely accommodate your needs...especially if we have some advance time for me to work my work obligations around your dog.

I have a fenced in backyard and a friendly beagle who loves to meet new friends, but also spends plenty of time alone and sleeping. Every other week your pup will get love & respect from our 9 year-old, animal loving Son. He has lived with and been around dogs, cats, and various farm animals since he's been alive. If you have concerns about your dog's potential behavior around a young human, please reach out directly and we can work to coordinate a scenario that works for all of us. If you are hiring me to house and pet sit in your home and would like my dog Willow to remain at my home, just say the word!

Does your dog have any unique needs, quirks or pet peeves(pun intended) I should be aware of? Finally, a list of preferred commands is a bonus as it helps me to stay consistent with established communication practices. I am open to providing care for any breed of dog.

I love the outdoors and athletics. I'm happy to get your dog the exercise required, whether that's a hike, fetch, or a basic neighborhood walk. You can also rest assured that your dog will receive as much love and affection as they are open to receiving. We live a short distance from a few parks and the Nooksack River.

When I was 7 years-old, my family added a new member, a golden retriever, Finnagin. Dogs have been in my family ever since. I do my best to stay present and connect with each animal I meet. I also have 12 years of house sitting experience, with a goal of leaving each home in the same shape & cleaner than it was upon my arrival. Past experiences have taught me how to help animals adjust to their owners being gone. Diligently maintaining normal routines and providing consistent interaction are my main methods. My 9 year-old beagle, Willow & I are new to the area and have fallen in love with hiking on Washington trails. I'd love to get your dog some exercise while housesitting. This can happen with or without Willow, she's great around other animals. I also have extensive experience caring for cats, chickens, birds, turtles, iguana's, and more. If provided specific care instructions, I'll gladly make sure all of their needs are met during your trip. Most of my full-time work can be done via computer, so I'm able to be with your pets for most of the hours you are gone. I will provide photos/video updates so that you can rest easy knowing everything is being taken care of at home and your pet is safe. I look forward to offering other services, once a relationship has been developed with a family. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have. When Pat first arrived to our home, he tuned in to our dog right away. Our dog (Charlie) warmed up to him very quickly. Charlie has been reactive to strangers in the past, especially men, but he quickly befriended Pat. On another occasion, we introduced Charlie to Pat’s dog, Willow. Charlie does not typically like other dogs at all, but Willow and Charlie did great together.
Patrick has watched our dog Louie for many years when we go on vacation. He always does an amazing job. Louie is always excited to see Patrick come through the door.
Rick has watched our fur babies many times while we’ve traveled, anywhere from a long weekend to a three month stint, and he has always been very reliable, trustworthy, and has left our home cleaner than when we left it. He’s great with animals, and our pets were always very comfortable with him. We would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for pet care!
Patrick is the best! Dogs Love him and he loves them! He is dependable and conscientious. He takes care of my dog and my home with equal care and consideration. My dog loves when he comes. It gives me great peace of mind to know that she will be taken care of just as well, if not better than I would. The best sitter we have ever had hands down.
