Availability

I am at work from 8-4 generally, but have flexibility, and available outside of those hours. My daughters have other availability during the day around class schedules. I am home and available all day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and most holidays. I am home all day for full weeks during Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and Spring Break. I am home during summer months. I take dogs who are kennel trained and do not allow pets on furniture.

Safety, trust & environment

I match my care to your loved companion's individual needs. Some dogs love being outside and running around, some love to lay on a dog bed by the fire. I understand some pets are older and need a gentle approach and others are high energy and need lots of movement and interaction. I take careful care that your pet is secured and not able to leave the property. I have a huge fenced yard and a field with ample space which allows your pet to in pet heaven! Its a fun time!

Information Patricia S. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if your dog would enjoy my kids interacting with them, or prefer adult only interaction. Are they high energy? Any special needs or tips? Is your pet kennel trained? Does it need to be on a lease at all times when outside, or does it stick close to people and stay within fenced boundaries? What time is normal for eating and amount. Does it like being around other dogs? Or do you prefer them to be completely separated. We do have 1 goats, 1 miniature pig, and chickens. Do we need to watch it near those animals?

A typical day

There are many great places to walk here. We live on a private dirt lane that is close to town but feels very country. We also love to walk along canal banks on my dad's farm that is close by. I live a mile away from a green belt and creek and that is a fun option for well trained dogs, and dogs who love water. I also have a 3 acre fully fenced field the dogs can run free in and explore, if they come back when called. Our yard is very large, which makes playing catch easy and fun.

Pet care experience

Hi! I’m Hazel, a senior in high school preparing to head to college. My mom is Patricia and she and I and family team to provide pet services, but I am the main person. I’ve grown up surrounded by animals my entire life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I’ve had experience with all kinds of animals, including ducks, chicks, kittens, goats, pigs, and of course dogs. Right now, I have two dogs, Comanche and Chalko, who I’ve raised since they were puppies, as well as a kitten I helped bottle-feed after it was found at a very young age. Taking care of them has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to understand each animal’s unique personality and needs. I truly love animals and treat every pet like they’re my own. Whether your pet needs a fun, energetic walk, lots of attention and playtime, or just someone to make them feel safe and loved while you’re away, I’m here to help. You can trust that your pet will be in caring, reliable hands with me!

Patricia was exceptional in her role. She consistently provided me with photographs of Fabio throughout his period under her supervision. I would highly recommend her services and will certainly book her again in the future.

Patricia was great watching my dog Ginger for 5 days! She accepted my last minute request right away and was able to fit in a meet and greet. She provided plenty of updates and pictures of Ginger throughout the sitting. She left my place super tidy and clean. I would definitely trust her to watch any of my animals again!

Patricia was great. She watched our dogs for a week and kept us updated with photos . Our dogs had plenty of room to play and it was a relief to not worry about them while we were gone. She even dropped them off at our house and bought them new bones to chew on until we got home. I will recommend her to anyone.
