About Patricia S.
Communication
Safety, trust & environment
I currently provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes, so your cats can remain comfortable in their familiar environment and routine.
Information Patricia S. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best care possible, I appreciate clear, written instructions regarding your cat’s routine, feeding schedule, litter preferences, medications (if applicable), and any household details that may be relevant. You’re welcome to include this information in your Rover profile or provide it separately before the booking begins. Having everything clearly outlined helps ensure consistency and peace of mind for both of us. Please also let me know in advance if your cat has a history of: - Escaping or attempting to dart out doors - Hiding in difficult-to-access areas - Aggressive or defensive behavior toward new people - Specific fears or triggers For emergency preparedness, I also ask that you let me know the location of your cat’s carrier and preferred veterinary clinic, just in case it’s ever needed. I’m very comfortable working with shy or cautious cats, but full transparency allows me to prepare appropriately and keep everyone safe. My goal is always to maintain a secure environment and provide calm, respectful care tailored to your cat’s needs.
A typical day
Every kitty is different, so a typical day always depends on the cat. I take time to understand each cat’s temperament and comfort level before interacting. Some cats prefer their space, especially with someone new, and I always respect that. I’ll move calmly, speak softly, and allow them to approach me on their own terms. For more social or playful cats, I’m happy to engage in interactive play, offer plenty of affection, and keep them company so they feel less alone while you’re away. Whether that means wand toys, laser pointers, brushing sessions, or simply sitting nearby while they nap, I adjust to what makes your cat happiest. Above all, my goal is to maintain your cat’s routine and create a steady, low-stress presence in your home. I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for until you return.

Reliable Cat-Centered Care
Cat care experience
About Me I’m primarily a cat-sitter, but I’m also happy to look after other small pets, depending on their care needs. (No dogs for the time being, sorry!) I’ve been cat-sitting on Rover since 2024, but I've been around cats all my life, and spending time with them is one of my favorite things to do. I’ve interacted with many different personalities—skittish, cuddly, clingy, playful, sassy, and the occasional troublemaker—and I genuinely enjoy them all. When meeting a new cat, I always let her take the lead and show me how she’s comfortable interacting (if at all). I have experience caring for cats of all ages, from kittens to seniors, and I’m especially mindful of keeping things calm and low-stress. I provide in-home care only and am unable to host pets at my own place. I work on my laptop most days and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to take on both daytime and overnight jobs. Whether you’re looking for once-daily check-ins or longer visits to keep your cats company, I’d love to help. *Please note: bookings located more than 30 minutes from my home will include a $20 travel surcharge. I’ll always confirm this with you in advance so there are no surprises.* 🌧️ Inclement Weather Policy I always do my best to keep visits consistent. However, during severe weather (such as snowstorms, icy roads, or other unsafe driving conditions), visit times may need to be adjusted slightly for safety. If weather makes travel unsafe, I’ll communicate with you as early as possible so we can work out the best plan for your cats’ care. Their wellbeing—and everyone’s safety—comes first. 💊 Medication Policy I’m happy to administer medications that don’t require restraint, such as pills given in a pill pocket or mixed with food, as well as topical treatments like creams or ointments. At this time, I’m not comfortable administering medications that require forceful handling, injections, or significant restraint. If your cat has more complex medical needs, I’m always happy to discuss things ahead of time to make sure expectations are clear and your cat stays as comfortable as possible.
