The range of pets was: rabbits, rats, cats, dogs, ferrets, and birds. These animals were loved and cared for so much, it became my mission to be a vet. I was all set out to go to vet school from an early age. I then noticed when an animal was in pain or hurt it was hard for me to see them that way because I loved them so much. Vet school was taken off my youthful checklist. I then set out to become an animal trainer during the time I started to raise a family. I started small and volunteered for a year at Happy Hollow Zoo in San Jose. I learned zoo keeping which consisted of feeding, cleaning, and interacting with the animals. A menagerie of characters: Hippos, geese, ferrets, seals, bobcats, Baby elephant, pigmy goats, monkeys, birds and others. Each had their different personalities. Very fond memories. I always did and still do have a very calm demeanor around animals.
