Being retired, I'm free to book overnights with you for weeks at a time. Early bird gets the worm, as summers get mighty busy! Even if I'm away at a job I can do drop-in visits in the local area.

I rise when pets require attention, such as doggies needing to go outside, breakfast. I try to stick to the pets' regular routines with outside visits and meals and in between there is always time to play.

No breed preferences, but I prefer calm or older dogs. Young, rambunctious ones are outside my energy boundary. I can give lots of attention and I prefer they not be too demanding.
A typical day
I will travel longer distances for overnight house sitting and pet care. Drop-in visits and walking only can be done closer to home. I love to take care of pets in their homes who live nearby. Also, I live near Yosemite National Park along the Hwy 140 corridor. While you are enjoying the park for the day, I will take care of your pet(s) at your hotel in or near Mariposa. I will take dog(s) for regular walks, feed your pet(s) and/or stay with them for the day/evening so they won't be alone. Play is a must!

Pet care experience
Owners have come home to happy pets and clean houses when I stay overnight at their homes. (I do not currently board.) Being retired, I have the time to stay at your home while you're away and you'll know everything is secure. Your pets will be happy with walks and play. Also, being retired I am older, so I must limit pets to either older or well trained, as lively animals can be dangerous to my health. If walking is required, dog must be well behaved without pulling or lunging. I can be in as much contact as you wish with texts and photos. Without having my own to love, I thrive on others' lovable pets, so I treat them as I would my own. Besides having pets to love, my goal includes going on occasional excursions for new scenery, new people and new areas to explore.
