Owned, trained, worked Giant Schnauzers 30 years. My first came directly from Germany via a Gold Certificate breeder and trainer. I specialized in search and rescue as well as disaster recovery. I miss being of service with my big boys and now care for other dogs and cats, especially those requiring speciaI attention. I am hoping to find more owners and their beloved pets who need me in the future. I am very realible, reponsive and empathetic to all the animals under my care. You can rest assured that your beloved pet will receive the best of care. I am comfortable with special needs as well as administering medications. I do not accept certain breeds including pit bulls, and Perro de Presa Canario. I am of necessity very selective of dogs that I agree to have in my home and grounds. I only board one dog at a time and prefer to do house sits or drop ins. I also am an Animal Travel Nanny. I see to it that special dogs and cats reach their travel destinations by accompanying them on the plane or car and giving white glove service to assure they reach that destination safely.

Schedule
I am an artist so my time is very flexible. I can tailor my schedule to fit yours and your pet's needs and requirements. If possible I can accomodate overnights in my house based on approval of the pet.

I am an an artist residing in downtown Charleston with a fenced garden and privacy fence surrounding the property. I have been caring for five beloved special needs dogs with home visits, walks, and overnights in my home studio or in their private homes for seven years. I am hoping to add to my special dogs and people. I am well acquainted with adminstering medications and working with special needs. I am also considered an animal empath. When I do in home stays your dog or cat is assured to be in their familar environment. I may run out for an hour or so to pick up my mail and be sure that all is well at my home and studio and that lights are turned on or off. I always request an initial meeting to be certian I am comfortable with you as owners and your pet. Likewise I want you and your pet to be comfortable with me. I have a questionaire so that I know your and your pet's routines and habits as well as contacts for family, friends and the vet. I do not accept certain breeds and your pets must have all their vacinations, be free of fleas and ticks and also be clean. If you are working on training let me know so that I can re-enforce positively.
A typical day
A typical day involves my keeping as close to your beloved companion's normal routine as possible. Lots of love. encouragement and support. Making them as comfortable with your abscence as I can.
