4Paws and A Tail CPR/First Aid Cert

"CPR and Pet First Aid Certified" Seniors and Special Needs Welcome I live in downtown Albuquerque with my 2 small dogs, Sophie, a mixed Shih-Tzu; and Winston, a 5 year old Japanese Chin. When I retired from doing facials I started my pet sitting business and you might call it my encore career. I felt there was a strong need to provide loving care in a loving environment. I care for pups over the age of 2 and all breeds but "Seniors and Special Needs" have a special place in my heart. I am certified in Pet First Aid and CPR. My time with your pet(s) is totally devoted to their care and well being and treating them as one of the family with all of its privileges. Supervised feeding usually twice daily unless otherwise specified. I offer Multi-dog discounts on overnight stays as well as long term discounts. Medication given at no extra charge. I can also give Sub-cutaneous injections, i.e. allergy shots and subcutaneous fluids and insulin. Drop Off time as early as 6:00 A.M or earlier by prearrangement Pick-up usually by 4:30 p.m. Late pick up by pre-arrangement. Day care pick up is 6:00 PM Your pet will only be released to you unless written permission is given. The person/s picking up your pet will ibe required to show ID Vaccinations or a titer test must be current and the pet must be on flea medication. Why I love dog sitting I have been an animal lover all of my life and have always had pets. I have been active in rescues and showing dogs. Also, in my early career life I worked for a veterinarian. My experience administering medication I am very comfortable giving medication as well as subcutaneous fluids, allergy injections and insulin. I also will prepare special diets if needed.

Pat took care of my shy senior dog and treated her like a member of her family. Made sure to clarify my dog’s routines/preferences before the stay and provided timely updates. It felt good knowing my pup was in great hands.

Pat continues to be my sitter of choice. She cares greatly for each of her customers and is always willing to ahare her experience on any issues, whether nutrition, training, etc. My dog's always relaxed and happy when I go to pick her up and looks forward to her stats with Pat. I still very much recommend her and her services.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks I take the dogs for walks around the neighborhood. There is also a nice park that the dogs like to go to on their walks. This is not a dog park. I try to accommodate the individual dogs needs and of course your wishes are always respected. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will have a choice of sleeping arrangements. My dogs sleep with me and yours are welcome to also, but if they want to sleep in a dog bed that’s okay. I as a rule do not crate dogs Time I'll spend with your dog I am a full time sitter so this is not a hobby for me. I am with your pets 24/7 except for the occasional errand. It is my goal to establish a bond of trust with you and your family member so when they come to my home they are happy to be here.

I would like to know the dogs temperament, I do not take aggressive dogs. I really have no breed preferences as long as the dog is well behaved. They need to walk nicely on a leash. I also take in-tact dogs as long as they are well trained and non-aggressive. I do not take dogs under 4 years old.
