This allows me to accommodate a variety of needs, including morning, midday, and evening visits, extended walks, and last-minute requests when possible. Safety, trust, and a calm environment are my top priorities when caring for pets in my home or a pet owner’s home. I carefully follow all instructions provided by the owner, including feeding schedules, medications, routines, and any special care needs. I take this information seriously and make sure each pet’s routine is maintained as closely as possible to reduce stress. I always ensure doors, gates, and windows are securely closed and locked, and I monitor pets closely during walks, playtime, and feeding. I use safe handling techniques and appropriate equipment, such as leashes or harnesses, and never allow pets into unsafe situations. I also keep the environment clean, comfortable, and free of hazards. As a veterinary technician, I am trained to recognize signs of stress or illness and will communicate promptly with the owner if any concerns arise. I provide regular updates and photos to maintain trust and give peace of mind, knowing pets are being cared for in a safe, attentive, and loving environment.

A typical day
A typical day caring for pets is centered around their individual needs, routines, and comfort. I make sure each pet is fed on schedule, has fresh water, and receives any medications they may need. I also take time to check in on their behavior and overall well-being to ensure they’re happy and healthy. For fun and enrichment, I tailor activities to each pet’s energy level and personality. This can include long walks or runs for high-energy dogs, potty breaks and leisurely walks for those who prefer a slower pace, and playing fetch if the home has a safe, fenced yard. I also enjoy engaging pets with toys, interactive play, and mental stimulation. For cats, this may include playtime with toys, gentle interaction, and plenty of affection if they enjoy it. My goal is always to provide both physical exercise and emotional care, making sure pets feel comfortable, stimulated, and well cared for while their owners are away.
