Pam is truly a dog lover as shows with how much she has done with her own dog. She brought that same care to my elderly dog who needed to stay in my home when I was out of town. My dog had a lot of fun with Pam and I trusted that she was following my instructions.

I've known Pamela Lusk for over 20 years. She worked with me as my assistant dog trainer, trained her own dogs to titles, and also sat for my dogs and Mom when I was out of town. Pam stayed in my home many times to care for my elderly mother, my 3 dogs, and my 2 cats. She took wonderful care of ALL of them. She is trustworthy, reliable, responsible, and respectable. She would be a wonderful addition to Rover.

Pam has provided exceptional, personalized care for our last two dogs, offering both pet sitting and dog walking services with a level of professionalism that is rare to find. She has a natural ability with animals, backed by years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all temperaments. I’m confident she will provide your pet with safe, attentive care and outstanding customer service. Pam’s skill was especially evident with our rescue dog, Maddy—a mixed breed with reactivity, poor socialization, and high anxiety. Pam approached Maddy’s challenges with the calm, structured methodology of someone who truly understands canine behavior. She brought her trained service dog, Ranger, to help facilitate a controlled introduction and guided us step by step through the process. Over the next couple of weeks, Pam worked with Maddy daily, gradually building her confidence until she was comfortable enough to play with Ranger. Only when Maddy was ready did Pam begin leash training and neighborhood walks. She used progressive desensitization, consistent routing, and careful pacing to help Maddy overcome her fear of outdoor stimuli. Though still cautious, she came to feel she could safely walk past the yards with barking dogs behind their fences. Within days, Maddy was able to walk side by side with Ranger and my husband—something we never imagined possible. Although Maddy never enjoyed car rides or long excursions, Pam’s work helped her genuinely enjoy nightly walks and backyard play dates with Ranger. Pam also helped us find our next dog, Sparrow—a springer spaniel retiring from a breeder whose dogs often go on to become PTSD service dogs. Pam met the breeder at a dog show where both of their dogs were competing. Pam’s familiarity with the breeder community and her advocacy on our behalf made it possible for us to adopt Sparrow. On the rare occasions we couldn’t bring Sparrow on out-of-town trips, Pam remained our trusted pet sitter and dog walking caregiver. Pam has provided similar high-quality care for extended family and friends, consistently demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and deep knowledge of canine behavior. She has trained both of her own service dogs, Ranger and Valen, and has spent her entire life drawn to animals and dedicated to their well-being. Her experience, skill, and genuine love for animals make her an exceptional caregiver. And yes—Pam is my daughter. But even if she weren’t, I would recommend her without hesitation.

Schedule

I am on disability. I am home most days. If I am out at a dog show or trial, I will either bring everyone with me or not trial. I do have crates, if needed. We could also visit my sister in law and play with her Springer puppy. She does have a nice, big fenced yard. If dogs have a good recall, we can play in the bigger yard but it isn't fenced.
