Safety, trust & environment

Since we don't have a fenced yard we always leash your pet before opening doors or moving gates while they are at our home. When I visit you, I try to keep your pet in my line of sight at all times (unless they are skidish and have hiding places).

Information Pamela H. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know any peculiar behaviors with your pet (even if it is thought of negatively by others). I like to know if they have bladder issues or pee when excited or do they jump up on greeting or like to sleep in the same room as you. All these help us all have a more enjoyable stay when you are away.

A typical day

Mornings start around 6:00-7:00a with a potty walk and coffee for me. During the day we play inside and on the front porch or sometimes just lazy around. Bed time is usually between 10-11p unless we have had a really active day. Meals are on the same schedule you do at home

No dog too big or small. I love all

Pet care experience

We love to spoil dogs (and all animals). Our 3 "grandpups" love to come visit. We always have toys and play with them, take them for walks around the neighborhood and love on them constantly. We have enough space they can have their own bedrooms or share ours. We have had dogs all our lives but are enjoying being empty-nesters. By loving your dog while you are away gives us the opportunity to enjoy dogs yet still keep our freedom to travel. Our yard is large enough for potty breaks and our neighborhood offers plenty of roads to get exercise and walk each day. Our family supports New Kent Humane Society and has always been engaged in the welfare of dogs in the kennel as well as those in our neighborhood. We have cared for and walked our friends dogs for the past 15 years.

Pam appreciated our “puppy” and kept good care of him while we were away. We didn’t need to worry at all with the helpful communications and happy pictures.
