Availability

Pet care is part of our daily routine and something we structure our day around. Darren works from home with a flexible schedule, and Pam manages bookings and communication, so everything stays organized and on track. This allows us to provide consistent care, reliable timing, and plenty of attention throughout the day. For boarding and day care, pets are rarely left alone and are part of a calm, supervised home environment. We offer morning, midday, and evening drop-in visits and do our best to stay consistent with your pet’s routine. Because we care for only one family’s pet(s) at a time in our home, availability is limited to ensure each pet receives our full attention.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets, we focus on keeping things calm, predictable, and as close to your pet’s normal routine as possible—whether in your home or ours. We follow your written instructions carefully, including feeding, fresh water, walks or potty breaks, litter or yard clean-up, playtime, and quiet companionship. We enter calmly, secure doors and gates, and follow leash or harness routines exactly as you prefer. For shy or cautious pets, we move slowly, give them space, and allow trust to build at their own pace. We send updates with photos during each visit so you always know how your pet is doing while you’re away. If we notice anything out of the ordinary—changes in appetite, behavior, or bathroom habits—we communicate right away and follow your preferred plan for care. We also treat your home with the same respect we give your pets, leaving everything clean, tidy, and just as we found it. For doggy day care in our home, we provide a calm, safe, and low-stress environment. We care for only one client’s pet(s) at a time, allowing for personalized attention and a relaxed setting. Our home features an open floor plan, easy-to-clean tile flooring, and a fully fenced 6-foot vinyl backyard for secure outdoor time. Pets are never introduced to unfamiliar animals during their stay, and all outdoor time is supervised to ensure safety at all times. Our home is a quiet, controlled environment with no resident pets or children, allowing us to focus fully on your pet’s safety, comfort, and individual needs. Safety is always our priority. Both of us are certified in Pet CPR and First Aid, and we stay attentive to each pet’s comfort, behavior, and well-being at all times.

Information Pamela & Darren G. would like to know about your pet

To provide the best care, we like to learn as much as possible about your pet ahead of time. Please share details about their routine, feeding schedule, energy level, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. Let us know about any medications, medical needs, or behavioral quirks, including anxiety, reactivity, or sensitivities. For pets staying in our home, it’s especially important that they are comfortable in a calm environment and do well without other animals, as we do not have pets or children in our home and care for only one family at a time. We also ask that pets are up to date on vaccinations, house-trained (for boarding/day care), and able to be safely handled on a leash. Clear communication upfront helps ensure a smooth, stress-free experience for everyone.

A typical day

Every stay is designed to feel like a luxury staycation: calm, comfortable, personal, and built around your dog. We care for only one family’s pet(s) at a time in our quiet home with no other pets and no children. Your dog receives personalized attention, a peaceful environment, and care that follows their normal routine as closely as possible. Our home also features a fully fenced, secure backyard for supervised outdoor time, play, and fresh air. We are home with your pet the majority of the time, and if we do need to step away, it is typically only for 1–2 hours. For added peace of mind, we have indoor and outdoor pet-safety cameras. If we step away briefly, we can still see your pet, hear them, talk to them, and even toss a treat. Imagine your dog starting the morning with a relaxed potty break, breakfast, fresh water, and a little quiet time while we ease into the day together. Later in the morning, they may enjoy supervised outdoor time, lounging in the house, cuddles on the couch, or enrichment like snuffle mats, lick mats, puzzle feeders, or healthy snacks approved by you. Some dogs love playtime and interaction. Others are happiest curled up nearby soaking in companionship and affection. We follow their pace and personality. Mid-morning, you’ll receive your first update with a fun collage of 3–5 photos so you can see exactly how your dog’s day is going. Afternoons are usually a mix of relaxation, companionship, outdoor breaks, enrichment, naps, and one-on-one attention in a calm home environment. In the evening, we settle into dinner, cozy downtime, affection, and a final potty break before bedtime. You’ll also receive a second collage-style photo update before the night winds down. Optional add-ons include Pupsicles, brushing and organic dry shampoo freshen-ups. At Oz n’ Stew, the goal is simple: your dog feels safe, relaxed, loved, and completely at home.

Concierge Cat Care at Home

Cat care experience

Cat care has been part of our lives for over 40 years, so we understand cats are not “low maintenance.” They are particular, sensitive, hilarious little rulers of the house. What sets us apart is calm, dependable care in your cat’s own home. We follow your routine, keep litter boxes clean, refresh food and water, provide medication if needed, and send photo updates so you know your cat is safe, comfortable, and properly adored. We’re happy to provide playtime, brushing, enrichment, and affection if your cat enjoys that interaction. We also respect shy cats, quiet cats, and “I’ll decide if I like you later” cats, always letting them set the pace. We treat your home with the same care we give your cat, keeping doors, litter areas, feeding spaces, and routines secure, clean, and respected at all times.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pamela and Darren were absolutely wonderful! They took amazing care of our pets and treated them like family. They kept us updated, were dependable, and made the entire experience stress-free. It was such a relief knowing our pets were in such caring and capable hands. We came home to happy, well-loved pets, and we couldn’t be more grateful. I highly recommend Pamela and Darren to anyone looking for trustworthy, compassionate pet sitters!

Pam and Darren are hands down the best pet caretakers out there! They recently took care of our dog, Jaxon, for a staycation, and we could not be happier. Leaving Jaxon is always tough, but Pam and Darren gave us total peace of mind. They treated him like royalty and loved on him just like he was their own. Jaxon was so happy, relaxed, and incredibly well cared for the entire time. When we had service, we received pictures and updates which was amazing. Almost looked as if Jax was having a vacation of his own! If you want the absolute best, most loving care for your fur baby, look no further than Pam and Darren. We will definitely be booking with them again!

Pamela and Darren created the ultimate pup-cation for my dogs; not sure they wanted to come back home to me;) So grateful to have found this dog loving couple, I would not think twice about leaving my fur kids with them for all of our family's travel needs.

I simply cannot say enough good things about Pam and Darren, and their care of my 2 pups. Walking out of our meet and greet, I’ve never been less nervous to have new people take care of Petey and Archie, and I was right in that feeling. Not only was I updated with wonderful summaries morning and evening, but my pups came back to me calm, happy, and smelling fresh. I can’t say enough good things about their care and the attention to detail given to everything from medications to preferred snuggle types. Highly recommend.
