Pet care experience

I love all animals, even biters

I have owned, trained and loved many dogs, cats, birds, a duck, chickens and a few reptiles in my lifetime. I have taken in stray dogs and trained them to find a home, dogs no one else wanted because they bite, and two dogs with health issues. I have rescued cats and kept them or rehome them. I am an RN during working hours so I have the medical experience to take care of animals with health issues. I currently "cat sit" for my sister when she is out of town and "dog sit" in my home for my adult son's best friend and for my daughters 3 dogs. When my son said he was going over twice a day to take care of his best friends dog, I said "why don't you bring the dog home? He will have more fun than sitting in an empty house all day"! As I started to think about what I would LOVE to do when I retire in 5 years, I realized taking care of animals is what I really love to do. I currently have a dog that is blind and it is difficult to take her on walks, which is another reason why walking dogs would be perfect for me. I am very flexible, so last-minute changes are not a problem. I hope you will give me a chance to spend time with your pet(s) while you are away or walk your dog. I love all the different personalities and little biters are not a problem as I know how hard it is to find someone to care for them. I raised 2 little biters. One is my daughter's dog who loves me but if I try to hand her anything he is going to protect her. The way I handle little biters is with love, understanding and treats if allowed.

She came on short notice and cared for my sick cat like he was her own. I felt confident leaving knowing he was in good hands.

My shy cats loved her! She spent time petting and playing with them, which was more than I expected.

Pam was our first Rover pet sitter. She came over to visit for a meet & greet, which was helpful and reassuring. Great experience all around. Highly recommended!

Pam was the best. She was able to make freinds with our dogs quickly and the dogs really were happy to see her when we got home so I know Pam treated them well. Pam took really cute pictures and the updates where wonderful. I definitely added her to my favorite list.

I have known Pam for many years! She is a kind spirit and loves animals. She is very knowledgeable about the needs of pets and also how to maintain them when sickness and in health. She definitely goes the extra mile when a pet is in need. I highly recommend her!

Pam is amazing! Roadi and Buddy say "We love her. We cuddled with her and she took us for a walk to the park. So glad Mom and Dad found her and we already have 2 more visits set with her." Pam kept the house immaculate. We are also looking forward to her next stay and feel comfortable and confident!

I would like to know what the dog does for fun such as play catch, learn tricks, or even just spend quality time together. I would also want to know where the pet clean-up supplies are so you can return to a home that neat and tidy.
