The sliding door in our family room is left open during the day, so dogs can wander in and out. Our backyard is completely fenced in. The door is closed at night.

Meet and greets are always required before I commit to walking or visiting a dog(s) or boarding them to be sure the owner, their dog(s) and I are compatible. I don't have a breed preference, but I don't board dogs who are aggressive, puppies, dogs who are diggers, and dogs who are high energy. I no longer board female dogs as their pee has burned our grass. We just had new sod put in our backyard (Summer 2025).
A typical day
There are many neighborhoods to explore in the Village Park area so dogs who stay with us will become familiar with the area on their daily walks. Power Line Dog Park is just a block away, so if your dog likes to interact with other dogs and with your approval, I can take your dog to the park. Our yard is large enough to play fetch, catch a frisbee or ball and run around.

Pet care experience
My husband and I live in a house with a medium sized backyard that is completely fenced in. We both grew up with dogs and have rescued our last two Collies. I have had my pet care business since 2005. I have enjoyed establishing relationships with my dogs and their owners over the years. I walk dogs daily, board dogs, visit pets when their owners travel, and take dogs to the park. I DO NOT BOARD PUPPIES, FEMALE AND HIGH ENERGY DOGS. We have a dog park (Power Line Dog Park) just one block from our home in Encinitas if your dog likes to socialize with others. I am licensed, insured, and have references. I was a volunteer at Rancho Coastal Humane Society. I look forward to meeting you and your dog(s). About this sitter: I have had my pet care business since 2005. I walk dogs daily, visit pets when their owner's travel. board up to 2 dogs in our home, and make dog park visits. I am licensed, insured, and have references. I was a volunteer at Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas. I enjoyed visiting and walking the dogs while they waited to be adopted into their new home.
Reviews

We are so lucky to have Pam watch & care for our Kipa when we travel. He is 99 pounds of sensitive love. He gets lots of playtime in the canyon park and is included in family. Thank you so much

Pam was great- our dog loved his time there, getting plenty of exercise, engagement, and outdoor time. She was also very responsive!

Tiger was very happy with Pam and the other dogs she had that week. Pam was easy to communicate with and very kindly worked with us when we had an unexpected change in plans.

Pam took wonderful care of our Ridgeback Kipa. He was happy and safe all week while we were traveling. Pam sent daily messages and photos so we could see what a good boy he was being for her. He got to run and play in her backyard and on daily dog walks with Cooper. Thank you Pam!
